Pro badwater needs to be tested too but I don't think it'd be as easy to test as a 6s pug.
The most important part is finding players with actual useful feedback that are interested in improving maps, along with finding players that won't complain about dev textures.
I also wanted to test koth maps like Grizzly and A/D maps like Edifice. But I need to find a way to have offclassing, to see what is classes could be broken, without it being excessive.
As of right now and the immediate future, it is 6s only. 18 people is just too much. Although if I could get in contact with all the devs that want to be tested, im currently working on a schedule for what map goes each week. The reason im asking for the devs to reach out to me is because I want to make sure that the dev is still alive and willing to work on the map after testing. Wouldnt want to waste a week!
hookyI do think anyone can give good feedback. While most of what lower-level players (including me) say is gonna be shit since they don't know much, the chances are good for decent feedback to come out of their mouths.
I would definitely have at least one IM+ player at all times to deflect any bad ideas.
Also, anyone who says "Scrap it and start over" should be instantly banned, unless that is the only thing that an IM+ player can think of. Even then, it's probably better to keep it to yourself.
Me too! totally agree with the first paragraph.
That was the idea, for anyone that said anything along those lines to be banned.
I will probably either just have everyone bump the TF.TV thread for the map or send all the criticism to a IM+ player to compile it. I was also going to make a rough MS Paint callouts to be distributed to both teams before the match starts, so it would be a bit more legitimized. Thoughts?

Thank you for the great feedback. I sincerely appreciate it. I feel like any player can give feedback, but it should all be weighed by the map creator, obviously a invite players insight is going to be more significant than anyone else's. I will probably keep this on the backburner until maybe we can get some ideas thrown around about how to better it, if it even can. Still, if people want it, I will probably have it run for a month to see how it goes, if it doesn't go well, I will kill it.

'Allowed' not required. I can use changelevel the same as always.
wait your server does changelevel? Because I've talked to 3-4 people who have the same issue where they can't change it without restarting with the map in the autoexec

It's on valve's end. At least that's what I understand from the fiasco on tf2center right now. Only way to play maps if setting your server's default map to the map of your choice like what you are doing. Hope this gets fixed soon.

A really good vasili can carry a entire team to victory, the MoA, and Vasili's to a lesser extent, perfect card (which is around silver) does stupid amount of damage with almost no drawback for missing. Its different from TF2 where you can get rushed and die very easily or in CS:GO where you can get headshot across the map. There are also spots on maps purposely put to make vasili almost impossible to reach, like Terminal for example. The only way to counter a good vasili is another vasili and that means another merc you have to run because of a overpowered merc.
KITTYONFYREThis map is annoyingly awful. Why? Because you constantly use the clip brush without any reason for players to not be able to get somewhere. I understand map balance and needing to keep people out of places - but if I can see it, I should be able to get there. I know that there needs to be some exceptions because demojumping etc, but here's a few absolutely stupid places that have no reason to exist.

Map is glitched in this one, but whatever. You know where I am talking about. Why is this not just a wall? Or make the fence taller, so it's a mesh covering or something that covers the entire thing.

On the right and left side of this picture. There's again no reason for those to be there. If you want decoration, fill it up more, or move it closer to the wall. It's stupid to have random things that do nothing but look like they should do something.

awesome first post, its aesthetics. it makes sense. they would be dumb hiding spots without it. and with a wall it would lose all its soul.
STOGEWhat was everyone's first competitive rank? I managed to get Gold 4, which from what I understand is only a few behind Cobalt (the highest rank in the game). Think the ranks definitely need expanding if that's the case.
theres no reaspn for them to expand a ranking system thats already broken and has alsmost 0 players searching at one time. PUGs are a lot better in terms of people not leaving. After about 30 or so PUGs i personally dont enjoy the gameplay. It doesnt feel rewarding.

Serious though. That shotgun shot gave it away. On top if the fact hes using the direct hit. Which is the easiest to use with projectile prediction. Also that airshot on blands mid was complete bullshit, he didnt even see him and just twitched and dunked on him. Seems too good to be true.
