Also, I have a NY server - is there any opposition to opening this to Sideshow the euros?

If you register, you count as one team.

#1 Ultiduo Tournament for PvP Charity Stream in TF2 General Discussion

So we ran a brief ultiduo tournament (cast by the wonderful powah and truktruk) as part of the stream today, but a lot of viewers seemed disappointed they hadn't heard it wasn't going on and so missed the opportunity to sign up.

So, we'll reprise it Sunday at 5 PM EST. Sign up if you want to be part of a lighthearted tournament, maybe win some vanilla hats, and get famous while fundraising for charity. The bracket (and signup page) is here: http://challonge.com/PvPUltiduox2

In the meantime, we're still going strong with the stream - check it out here: http://www.twitch.tv/it_burns_when_i_pvp_event/

Lastly, if you want to size up the competition, the bracket (and results) of the previous tournament can be seen here: http://challonge.com/PvPUltiduo

Unlike the previous tournament, this one will be double elimination. Our whitelist can be found here: http://pastebin.com/zSP82kqT

If you are unfamiliar with ultiduo, it's a koth battle between two soldier/medic combos - the class limits (1 medic, 1 soldier) are set by the cfg (and tradition).

We will have a varied maplist for you and your opponents to choose from, but we wil be including two new custom ultiduo maps, one of which will be unveiled for the first time tomorrow.

Cheers.

Thanks for fixing the event, mana. Please don't be mean to Hildreth. He's all I have left in this world to love. D:

There will be a small (4 team) ultiduo tournament at 12 AM EST (midnight) tomorrow as part of this event. The winning team will probably get hats. If you're interested, sign up here: http://challonge.com/PvPUltiduo

#10 What do you like in frag movies in TF2 General Discussion

Slowmo should be used EXTREMELY selectively. Part of what I like about TF2 is the pacing and if I watch a video that's super slow I get bored/frustrated. It's nice for demonstrating the exact mechanics of a very specific bit, or as a way to reiterate/emphasize a particularly nice frag, but when it's used more than just as an accent, I pretty much immediately stop watching.

#18 Can a song still hold true? in Off Topic

If we're talking about oldish songs that seem to summarize us and relationships:

He has a boss/supervisor (NOT the principal). You can probably find this person through your school's website. Talk to them.

Nice guy, solid player, what's not to like?

#10 Cloridium LFT in Recruitment (looking for team)

Okay, all that aside.

Clor has ridiculous DM (in exchange for ridiculous heals, true, but he turns them into damage pretty efficiently) and takes the game super seriously.

He wants, desperately, to get better and wants to work with a team to do that. He will talk you to death about ideal positioning and calls, etc, but he has a good first instinct and accepts criticism on that stuff well.

#27 Butt movies in Off Topic

I can't say it was a good use of my time, but Tagg asked and I couldn't say no.... but I was still lazy in execution.

#59 Having fun with Yanks 2k13. in TF2 General Discussion

Add a game to steam, choose one of the default windows games, name it "Team Fortress 3". Alternatively, make a Team Fortress 2 shortcut that actually goes to MS word...

#13 Saints Row 4 in Off Topic

SR4 is worth it just for the swag walk in the very beginning (you know the bit...)

In all honesty, everything I've played and seen makes it feel like an expansion for SR3, but that's pretty much an awesome thing, imo.

That said, they changed the character generator, which kind of bothers me a lot. My tits look weird and I can't get the same body type as I had in SR3.

#158 Favorite Anime? in Off Topic

Dennou Coil - I seriously would recommend this show to anyone.

I also like some of the weirder stuff like Elfen Lied and Serial Experiments Lain, but eh - I'm kind of convinced that everyone who would enjoy them has already heard of them.

The new Fullmetal Alchemist was okay but I couldn't keep my attention span up for it.

Yakkitate!!! Japan is still my go-to when I'm stressed out of my mind. It's a really good show to have on in the background, imo.
