He even laughed when the other dude said this could be implemented to help deaf gamers.
really pumpeed for quake, dota 2 and cs:go.
You only need 120 fps to use the 120 hz.
If you drop down to like 80 fps it should still look better than on a 60 hz monitor.
I'd only buy it if you can maintain stable 120 fps though.
I have played both and strongly prefer Dota 2. Bare in mind that the soloqueue in Dota can be incredibly frustrating though.
If you plan on doing this you should probably download an equalizer as well while you're at it.
Played it in the early stages of open beta but stopped following it lately. Is it still going to be free?
I'm getting this Error after the game selection form. Just wait as well?
qoskIf your monitor was shipped with settings anything like mine was you'll probably want to turn it off the gaming setting in the monitor menu in order to turn the gamma down (you can't in any of the gaming modes for some reason afaik, and it's disgustingly high by default). This does mean you can't use black equaliser but I don't personally find it useful anyway. I set it to standard or normal or whatever and then:
Brightness: 42
Contrast: 50
Sharpness: 6
Gamma: Gamma 5
That's what I use for 144Hz. When using 120Hz LightBoost, it should only give you two changeable options: NVIDIA LightBoost and Black Equaliser or something. I would highly recommend lightboost, there's a link on the blurbusters site to a moving image and it really displays the amazing clarity of lightboost. However when trialling it try playing for a few hours and if your eyes hurt afterwards then you should probably stick to unstrobed.
By the way, recently when I've been trying to use strobelight.exe to turn on lightboost all that happens is the refresh rate changes from 144Hz to 120 (lightboost doesn't turn on). Can anyone help?
edit: Black Equalizer apparently only works with lightboost disabled
Is there any way to get the Black Equalizer running on 120hz?
Do you mean the "timeleft" command in the console?
I agree with almost everything posted here. MF Doom, Tech N9ne (although I don't like his newer stuff), Common, Atmosphere, R.A. The Rugged Man, Danny Brown, AotP (The individual artists like Ap, Celph, Jedi mind tricks ...), Jurassic 5, Meth & Red, Cunninlynguists, Lexicon, Evidence are my current favorites.
It is still using the default path when I change it. Any way to fix this?
