Then again, the community has a history of not caring about VAC bans. See: vhalin, ametrine, hoegie, infamous, sandcastles, etc.

california_dreamini doubt phrakture hacked outside of those lobbies. you guys are just feeding the ego of a kid who plays against himself in mge with alts to inflate his mge elo. stop.
It shouldn't matter where you were caught hacking; if you were VAC banned recently, then you've hacked recently. How can we be sure he wasn't just trying out which ones work and which don't, to see what works on client or something?
Also:
So are we still going to weigh in on Phrakture being a cheating invite player or are we just gonna kind of let it slide?
I donated over $100 for the last one and didn't get any prizes in return.
No regrets, it was an awesome event and I was glad to help; I'm excited for this next one!
MagusblinKI think in a situation like this where you were caught red handed.. You should just own up to it. I don't think Phrakture actually cheats in esea matches he obviously had his fun in a few lobbies. Just man up, accept whatever discipline and move on from it because it apparently isn't going to just go away.
But why mess around and cheat when you're in invite? You know the risks, you know you might get caught. You're playing with fire. The logic to do this is just astounding, but I guess shitlords will do anything to inflate their egos.
Also if you're in invite you shouldn't need cheats to perform well in lobbies.
conductorhe lost to phrakture's other alt (sublime, formerly known as zenith and admitted by phrakture to be his in the last mge thread) 1-0 a million times in a row on endif which is obviously just him farming elo from one alt to another

Unbelievable.
MGEMike nice try, but i CAN'T play unless its LAN sorry
nobody cares, go away
Now I know why Phrakture dodged our $20-Steam-gift-card-on-the-line LAN. Last time we called him out on it everyone said he was too terrible to be a hacker, I guess he got upset about that.
smakersI didn't forget anything. I was clearly being ironic and hip by typing in all lowercase with no punctuation.
You may be ironic but you're certainly not hip.
smakersBefore he edited his post (and thus, when I commented on it), it said this:
kirbyI'm sure Valve knows about the Crossbow's faster shooting. It's possible that's how it was meant to be? Kind of doubt it though, considering the Flaregun takes the same time holstered/put away.
The context of that is clear. He is presenting two scenarios. One where the flare gun is 'holstered' and another where the flare gun is 'put away'.
Suck it, Trebek.
I suppose I was giving him the benefit of the doubt, and assumed that he simply forgot to finish the statement, clarifying his intention. I can see that, without making any assumptions about the sentence, the slash could be interpreted to mean "and" rather than "or".
Irregardlessly, I hope this doesn't come between our dear, dear friendship, dear friend.
smakersholstered and put away mean the same thing you dolt
Which is probably why he put a slash and not an "and".
By the way, you forgot to capitalize your "h" and put a period at the end of your sentence.
Am I the only one who can't tell if these medics are being serious or not?
I'd be seriously bummed out if these guys are actually holding their teammates hostage to try and keep what is obviously an exploit legal.

Thanks for the update there champ.
Mr_OwlThis should have been posted way earlier in this thread
I don't get it; cleaning up team names is obviously going to bring us a step closer to being taken seriously as a game, even if it's a small step. Also, nobody is saying these teams are offensive and need to change their names or else; they're saying they won't be casted unless they change.
Honestly, I don't see why this is a debate: if you want to be casted, make sure your name is appropriate. If you don't want to change your name, you won't be; pretty simple.
As a side note, I do agree that if you're going to enforce a rule like this, then you should also be extra, extra careful about swearing during the cast itself.
