I played some 8(?) seasons of TF2 with Grant and do not regret a single moment of any of them. Incredibly chill guy, really talented player, and honestly one of my closest friends that I'm happy to say I've spent an enormous amount of time with. Seek and plobs are both really cool dudes to boot and I can tell this is definitely a team that will not only do well in open, but have a good time doing so.

Why can't everyone just like what they want to like? There is no right or wrong answer here, if you enjoy watching videos with more of an emphasis on the frags, or would rather watch something where the editing is the primary focus then that should be your right. Even if you don't like watching Googler's videos, you can still appreciate the ridiculous amount of time that went into them, while likewise, even if you don't like watching frag shows you can still recognize the frags. There's merit in both styles, and I don't think it's a matter of choosing one or the other, but rather liking whatever you like.
The same arguments get repeated over and over again for every video, and this discussion has been played out so many times there's nothing to be gained here. As Jay's thread has been hijacked, to bring it back to the video I thought it was fairly well done for one of your first videos despite some of the questionable velocity at times in addition to some effects not quite fitting. While it's important to take the advice given in this thread, ultimately remember that you're editing for yourself, not others. You're not going to enjoy yourself if you're just creating videos to try to appeal to the broadest audience possible, and who's to say how you can or cannot edit if you're having a good time doing it.
Hey guys, it's been about a year since I've made a new video (tribute to Tobi excluded), and for the connexion contest I was hoping to put together a full length frag video and finally do something more than a short clip. Through old demos I haven't used and harassing pretty much everybody on my friendslist I've amassed a pretty solid collection of demos, but it looks like I'm still going to be a bit short for the length I'm going for. I realize there's already a handful of threads out there right now for this, but hopefully there's still some people with frags that'd like to have them edited.
Here's my youtube channel with all my previous work. However, keep in mind I feel like my editing still has, and always will have, a lot of room to grow and I'm always hoping to improve with every new work, particularly this one.
Demos uploaded to Google Drive, Dropbox, and Mediafire are great, preferably named in the format "map_class_tick". I'd additionally request 6s only, but otherwise I'm not too picky as pugs, scrims, matches, etc are all fine. Having the STV for the frag or a teammate's POV can be incredibly helpful as well, but it's not an issue if you don't have it.
Thanks!
Is this on all maps for you? I have only come across it on gullywash, and it appears to have been an issue for at least the past 2 years or as far as I can remember.
super nice guy, was always fun in mumble and a solid scout to boot. great attitude and a great dude, pick him up.
As I am sure most of you are aware, the community lost a beloved member last November when Tobi, or Yudhbir Singh, passed away. Although I was not fortunate enough to be as close to Tobi as many of you were, a friend of mine, and one of Tobi's closest friends, viscamus, asked me to make a frag video to commemorate him. Although this is perhaps eight months late, I hope it serves to honor Tobi and his life at least in some small way. Editing is very simple so as to not take away from the frags and focus from the player himself.
RIP.
I'm not positive I have any demos I wasn't planning on using myself, but I really love the draft of what you have so far. I'll take a look to see if I have anything for you, but I'm looking forward to seeing the end product, it has a great feel.
Really cool guy, solid med with strong heals, good comms, and a pleasure to be around. A welcome presence in mumble and should be a strong asset to any mid open team, pick him up!
A really cool guy, has strong heals on medic, good comms, and knows when to get out. Can't speak to his other classes, but definitely give him a shot, you won't regret it.
Thanks all for the kind words, we've found players after two long nights and a ton of tryouts. Thanks to everyone who tried out, I'm serious when I say we liked all of you and honestly enjoyed playing with everyone which normally isn't the case from other times we've tried this. Good luck everyone with the coming season!
Hi,
We've been on a team together for some 2 years and 4 months now and we're still pretty bad. I took a brief hiatus last season, but we're looking to play together again for this coming season of CEVO. We were rich kids for s15 of ESEA with a 6-10 record, and otherwise have played as Final for a variety of mediocre UGC seasons. Our priority is largely to have fun, but we're also interested in getting better too.
tay. - Roamer
Crafty - Demo
blossom - Scout
??? - Scout
??? - Pocket
??? - Medic
We realize this is a tall order to put together a team in less than 3 days, but we figured it's worth a shot regardless. Please add me if interested so we can get you into a tryout either tomorrow or Thursday, thanks.
edit: PLAYERS FOUND
I've played on the same team with crafty for the last 6 or 7 seasons or some absurd amount of time I'm not really sure to be honest. Through that time, he has without a doubt become one of my closest friends and I've wasted way too much time and sleep playing video games with him. Like he said, our team has slooowwwwedddd down a lot since last season, which I attribute 100% to me having no time for video games and still being stubborn enough to think I'm capable of leading a team between school and sports. I feel bad that he's wasted much of a season on a team that has reached terminally chill levels in UGC, and he deserves more than a scrim a week.
Anyway with that aside, he's a super easy going guy that manages to get along with about everyone. Whenever we actually made an effort to get better, he always was the driving force and is 100% dedicated to whatever class he ends up playing. Good gamesense and DM on demo, very solid medic play, and more importantly a top notch attitude makes him a great pickup for about any high open team. Give him a chance while you can!
MamboulayI love it!
Is there a way to find all the accepted Pure Pictures clips? Are they on ikpure's Youtube channel (I'm guessing not)
pure pictures has been around for a long time so I'm not going to really make an effort to find app clips by members from 3 years ago but here are the ones of recent members:
i played one of these yesterday, the one in particular i played took a long time to start like they said but everyone seemed to be really close and everyone was reallllly funny. i feel bad looking back on it because i wasnt in the best mood to deal with the amount of crazy stuff that goes on (and i had to scrim in like 10 minutes after waiting for a while) and probably was a bit too serious. ANYWAY these guys are really cool and i want to do another one sometime so presto please keep asking me xo.
