use them all and they should look like that
mat_phong, mat_specular, and mat_bumpmap all affect fps. I can't comment on the exact impact they'll have, but they all require additional cpu logic in addition to just using more texture memory.
They won't impact ur fps if you have a cpu capable of processing the opening of the console and entering of the commands to turn them on.

Hallowwell the entire thing is enhanced by the fact that people, often irrelevant to the original discussion, seem to believe that -frags should lead to the poster ceasing their posting. i commonly see people drop the good ol "just stop posting". sure, you could argue that this is a mere correlation, that bad posts are minus fragged and bad posters should stop posting. i don't believe the two are disconnected though, and as much as you wanna blame it on the minusfragged's lack of thick skin i really do believe it inevitably kills intelligent discussion.
i mean, the frags are there, we can all see them. implying they mean nothing is stupid.
Minus frags mean people don't like your posts. IRL, people rolling their eyes or chuckle when you say something dumb is the same thing. Whether you keep posting or not is up to you, your skin and your conviction.
It doesn't "kill intelligent discussion" to be able to know if people like or don't like what you're saying.
Also, if the majority of people reading a post actually minusfrag it because they don't want to read anything else by that person, and that person stops posting because of it, that only means a majority of people will be happy.
This is also not related to Donald Trump, although fragging him sure would be nice :^)
