do you understand who most of that "third most played game on steam"'s playerbase is and why that gives valve even less incentive for trying to do anything with tf2 competitively is
fuck, when do you hear about tf2 online somewhere else without hearing "LOL HATS XDDD CONGA LOLOL CLASSIC HAT SIMULATOR LOL"? and if you don't hear it being represented that fucking lowly, is most people's sentiments not thinking of it as a casual meatgrinder simulator after playing a few hundred hours of 32 man pubs?
how would that possibly translate to tf2esports!11 if valve generally bases their changes off of the latter
yeah but the crux of this whole argument that we need to unban shit is that it will make the game "bigger and better" which is pretty much categorically untrue. sure, if valve mentioned to us that it would then maybe we could suffer through a few seasons of absolute aids before they get around to realizing that most weapons have mechanics that just dont fit in competitive tf2 but also realize they cant do anything about it because bitchy redditors who have an understanding of the game about as deep as a fucking puddle would complain. because, in reality, they have no interest in competitive tf2, they would rather play their retard classes with gimmicky unlocks in a shitfest format and pretend it's competitive at all.
e:
YeeHawYou're sort of feeding what they're saying in that thread about the comp community being toxic/awful etc. Care to elaborate?
*calls people assholes
*people get made and call u an idiot
*SEE I WAS RIGHT UR ASSHOLES LOLOL FUKT
i think another guy on your team had the same problem that game :/
DirtyMortthey should add a 10th class: the pirate
underrated post tbh we need more diversity and more wepons and playstyles if we want valve to give us free esports money i think tbh
b4nnyI don't feel like torturing myself to go back and read/quote all of your posts on TFTV, reddit and on your Youtube channel but literally every time I see you speak about TF2 in general or competitive TF2 lately, you just echo the same entitled mentality and even take it to further extremes. While I don't disagree that TF2 is a great game and its competitive scene has huge potential that I hope becomes realized, I'm trying to be more realistic about taking provably more effective baby steps towards that instead of making these absurd unrealistic demands that accomplish nothing. Hopefully it eases your concerns a little to at least know that I'm rooting for you over Muselk for the esteemed position of poster boy of the TF2 YouTuber complainer movement.
nigga what the fuck
I don't really think not having certain weapons is really scaring people off from playing at this point and because there's pretty much no hope in people being brought in from matchmaking I think a whitelist would be great.
There's no reason to not make the game what we want it to be, and most weapons either don't serve a purpose, are gimmicky, are overpowered/broken, or just add faux depth by pretending that diversity of weapons is inherently good. There's really only a few unlocks that really further TF2 as a game, and the rest is fluff that is generally either provides nothing or is occasionally slightly detrimental to it.
froyotech's basically canadian now so im going all in for 20b
i did a quick google search and apparently the company's first ssd was "reliable" (though it was only a 6/10 ) so i dont think well have to worry about everyone on tftv's ssd breaking in 6 months lol
thanks im gonna build a proper pc now :)
