Balancing tweaks have been made across the board. At the forefront of this is the change to the spawn system as this has been a particular area of key community feedback that we wanted to address asap.

We want you to bear in mind that in many cases, these are just first stage implementations. They will grow and evolve over time, in many scenarios due to your feedback.

Design
LOADOUT CARDS
-Loadout cards have added to Dirty Bomb, allowing you to earn and unlock kit for your Mercs. Please read this thread for further information about the Loadout system and progression as a whole.

PROGRESSION
-Mercs and Features are now unlocked as you gain XP. It’s time to get collecting!
-Merc leveling has been added to the game. XP earned whilst playing as a Merc will unlock their Augment slots and additional taunts for them. -Now you can trick out your Mercs that little bit more.
-Augments have been added to the game, these are customisable side-grades that tweak each Merc's behaviour
-The experience system has been re-balanced
-The Leveling curve has been re-balanced
-The in-game currency - GP - has been removed from Dirty Bomb
-All accounts have been reset to level 1 for this release

OBJECTIVE MODE
-Spawn Scalars have been implemented for unbalanced teams and teams larger than 5 players. Spawn timers now adjust to the player count on any given server.
-Rubber Banding has been implemented to give attackers an increasing advantage as time passes. The attacker’s spawntime will gradually decrease, while the defenders’ will increase.

BALANCE
GENERAL
-Reduced global health regen to 4hp/s (from 5hp/s)
-Players can perform two full strength jumps consecutively before a diminishing returns kick in
-Players can perform two wall-jumps consecutively without touching the ground
-Several tweaks to wall jump detection and delays have been made to improve the overall sensation
-Increased mounted gun recoil & camera kick
-Slightly increased Help-up range

OBJECTIVES

-Fuse time for all C4 Charges globally set to 50s
-EV health and damage modifiers now consistent across maps
-Reduced bullet and melee damage on the EV's by just over half
-Increased carryable objective melee range
-Added movement slowdown to carryable melee hits

WEAPONS
-Slightly reduced leg shot damage to 75% (from 80%)
-Weapon falloff damage at maximum range reduced to 66.6% (from 75%)
-Slowed the fire-rates of some semi-automatics to reduce DPS output at close range
-Reduced semi-auto recoil where they are now more limited by rate of fire

MERCS
Fletcher
-Sticky Bombs now have a 0.3s delay upon being triggered before they detonate
-Increased Empire-9 Machine Pistol fire rate to 857rpm (from 550rpm)
-Increased ammo counts, spread and recoil for new fire rate
-Tightened spread of Ahnuhld-12 Shotgun flechettes to improve accuracy and increase effective range

Thunder
-Concussion Grenades are now cookable and have a 3s fuse to allow player to time them better
-Increased range but reduced duration and severity of the flash effect

Nader
-Grenade Launcher Grenades now fly faster and straighter
-Martyrdom fuse time reduce to 0.6s (from 1.7s)

Arty
-Reduced Dreiss AR damage to 25 (per shot (from 27)

Sawbonez
-Defibs now revive on a scale of 30 to 100 hp, depending on charge
-Reduced SMG-9 magazine capacity to 40 rounds (from 45)

Bushwhacker
-Reduced KEK-10 magazine capacity to 40 rounds (from 45)

Proxy
-Slightly reduced effective range of Hollunds 880 Shotgun

Aura
-Defibs now revive on a scale of 30 to 100 hp, depending on charge
-Slightly reduced effective range of Remburg 7 Shotgun

Phoenix
-Defibs now revive on a scale of 30 to 100 hp, depending on charge
-Self Revive now revives at 30hp
-Self Revive Has 1.5s invulnerability until performing an action

MAPS
General
-Spawn point positioning and travel times to objectives have been tuned across all maps
-All Primary and Secondary objectives now have a highlight effect when they can be interacted with
-All Secondary Objectives are reversible and in the case of 'Destroy', can be damaged by weapons and explosives, not just C4

Dome
-Primary capture objectives were replaced with destroy objectives. Map layout was adjusted to support the changes.
-Defenders final spawn has been re-worked to increase readability and to simplify the routes leading out
-MGs in the second half of the map were moved to different locations to tighten the front line

Terminal
-First Secondary Objective (Gas Tunnel) starts Destroyed as opposed to Repaired, at the start of the match
-First Defender's Spawn area has been expanded to increase their travel time to the Objective

Trainyard
-Carry objective was added

Whitechapel
-Number of Carryables has been decreased from 3 to 2
-New Secondary Objective Ramp has been added to the Escort Objective. When Repaired, Attackers gain access to MG Nest Platform.
-EV start point and initial Attackers spawn re-worked to discourage spawn camping and aid EV Repair

USER INTERFACE
FRONT-END MENUS
-Did a comprehensive art pass on all menus except for Options (sorry, Options, it's nothing personal)
-New Screen: Welcome
-Displays recent news, a stats snapshot, and a forum link
-New Screen: News
-Browse news in a rather convenient fashion
-New Screen: Squad Builder
-Save combinations of your favorite Mercs
-Each Squad consists of three Mercs and their equipment Loadouts
-To create a Squad, click the New Squad button
-You can now enter a name for your Squad

i want to play music but i don't want to have to deal with this :(

there's a software called VAC (Virtual Audio Cable) that can do this, but in my experience it makes the quality awful. your best bet is to get a hardware mixer I think.

skimming through this video it sounds like he's making it so skype/teamspeak aren't audible to the stream.

The really small stream delay and no content ID are making it look pretty good.

twitch used to have a really small delay as well, but then it became significantly more popular. i think the hitbox delay is so low because they only have a fraction of the users. doesn't twitch account for something like 8% of total bandwidth in the US? that's a crazy high number.

i wonder how long until a service pops up that can streamers pay for that will record your streams live and have them available on their website for you and your viewers as VODs. (for people without the storage space to record locally several hours of gameplay)

a friend and I did a tf2 related project with this and I was trying to find it so I could let you see how it works because with 30 minutes it should work perfectly for OP's purpose (it's that similar), but I don't think I have it anymore due to a formatting. when my friend comes online i'll ask him.

yes. he was also known for never being at the office except for when he decides to completely change the focus of the developers, and being incredibly biased. as long you got him to like you, you could do anything you wanted. i believe red5 blamed him (mark kern) for the state of the game when they fired him, while he blamed their chinese sugardaddy company for whatever reason.

edit: here's a nice reddit post from an employee at the red5 explaining why Kern was fired. extremely likely that you heard about this fiasco when it happened because it was all over popular gaming websites due to the amount of drama.

Red 5 staff was informed about PvP being cut through the same forum thread the players were.

the entire removal of a game mode and thousands of man hours because the CEO was pissed at the negative attention it was getting (likely) due to him preventing his programmers from fixing key problems such as shockwave.

you guys want to know some cool facts about firefall?

their developers are completely incapable of balancing the game when it came to PvP (yes, it did exist once upon a time. more on that later). I know it'll be a bit hard without understanding game mechanics, but here is a video we made on Shockwave. Shockwave was the assault's "ultimate" ability that you had to charge up over a few minutes. The width of it was literally the size of a hallway, and the range you can see in the vid. It will do 5/6 of your (and anyone else hit by it) health, and when confronted about it the community manager said to "just dodge it" (that's whose face you see in the end of the video 'dodging' the spirit bomb). he got reaally mad at this video, he ended up rage posting 4-5 times in the thread within an hour, which is by far the most developer feedback this game has ever witnessed. He was also told by the company to stop interacting with the community, which is hilarious because his sole job was being a community manager. just know that shockwave was a braindead ability that literally won people games, including each weekends final worth $6k (3 for us/eu i think).

They also have absolute shit money management. They spent 3 million dollars on a fucking LAN bus that isn't even legal to be driven. They then spent 1million on a statue, but it's okay guys because IT MOVES! Oh, I believe they also sponsored the Chinese soccer team. their chinese sugardaddy company was understandably in the red at the end of the year.

That's not even the best part about Firefall, though. They promised a 1million dollar tournament, which got indefinitely postponed a few months later. Now here was the legit coolest part about firefall, they setup a contract with ESL to do two weekly 10,000 tournaments (NA/EU but you could sign up for both). These attracted well known players like strenx, but because the game was entirely about focus fire and not about individual aim, he and his team were both pretty damn awful and placed 8th or 11th or something.

I get that things in this post may sound like exaggerations, but they absolutely are not. You could have a team composed of the best players in the world, but it simply wouldn't matter whatsoever if you didn't have perfect focus fire. Individual skill meant nothing in this game due to how long it took to kill.

PvP is missing???? Possibly to be added soon? I really don't know.

Because of all the drama PVP was producing, they announced during one of the tournaments that it will be shut down, and boy they weren't kidding. They literally pressed the button to completely remove PvP from the game one minute after the finals ended, they were done with it ahahaha.

(yes yes I know that there are two zone PVP areas in the world, not talking about those. i'm talking about when you used to join a queue and be put into 5v5 pvp games)

I expected the "ooh, but it's only an alpha!" excuse to be used sooner or later. It's also releasing in two months, so great alpha guys. seeing as how alpha came out yesterday or something, it's clear that this isn't an alpha in the way you think it is. it's an alpha because it's pre-release, nothing else.

It's not that stuff like the open mics/mute/sensitivity won't eventually be fixed, it just shows they don't care about the PC side.

as monster you want to run and farm to stage 3 because of permanent health.

JayGame looks like it has potential to be really good. As long as the game is more balanced than tank fights in vanilla l4d versus, like giving you more options to get in other than holding w and hoping to corner people it could be super fun.
