Twitter is just redundant because it announces events on the left. Adding team vs team thumbnails would be cool, but I don't think there's any dedicated person for that (though it wouldn't be a bad addition).
Wish there was a over 5 year option, for people @ launch and beta. I don't know how many people are left.
If anyone doesn't remember, look at your badges (primeval warrior/grizzled veteran/soldier of fortune/mercenary).
DunderBroSmite is a MOBA but still very different from other MOBAs, it's also easy, very easy. Try it with an open mind
That doesn't sound like a very good game.
Nin2246raidcall.com heard from cod4 players that it is good... They like it better than mumble never used it though.
Don't need a schism in VoIP clients. Mumble is good enough.
SpyromancerMatwojWhen people say "my K/D is positive" they generally mean >1.Spyromancer>1I think you messed something up. >1 is more than one.
Not "negative". 0<x<1 is NOT NEGATIVE.
YOU MEAN TO SAY >1.
HOW HARD CAN IT BE ASAFGHRT
aside from that I don't see why anyone should give any fucks about this thread such that # of fucks given > 0
Woosh. Might have been a bit too subtle for you.
shifty1gwhy would someone get mad over this?
Not actually mad, I just make overly condescending posts. It doesn't play off as well when you're not in person and laugh it off or shrug it off right after. My friends and I can be complete assholes to each other but aren't actually serious.
Sorry. Just thought of this as pointless/too broad thread, I didn't know the loner part or else I'd have been more sensitive.
hpqoeuhow fun do you think a lobby would be for someone completely new to the game when there's someone leagues better than him completely shitting on him and his team?
I don't care if people play the same class, just don't encourage it too much by adding badges
That's the point of adding rankings/ratings/elo. If you see the other team has a way higher ratings than you, you either don't play or accept that fact you're going to be playing with better players. Also, you're suppose to specialize in a class eventually, so there's really no problem with encouraging people to do it. I really don't understand what's your problem with people playing a class they have fun with and trying to get better at it. I mean offclassing in pugs in general turns into a shitfest (pyro/engy/heavy trolling, amazing sniper that's crap scout, etc. Unless you "offclass" to another main 6's class, in which you're being a hypocrite).
c00llerThanks again enigma!! Just one more request.. could you add the time to the feed? Right now we see the event title and the description but IMO the time is more important than the description! For example, it could look like:
[title]ESEA-Invite: bp vs Xensity[/title]
[body]Thursday, 7 February, 2013 ⋅ 11:00 PM EST (NA) ⋅ 05:00 CET (EU) ⋅ 14:00 EST (AU)
Xensity's season might ...
Or however you want to do it.
The publication date is the game time (pubDate). If you have a decent RSS parser, it can convert it to your local timezone.
hpqoeuMightyMegfantomLike a badge for playing 100 lobbies, 500 lobbies, etc. and a badge for playing scout for a number of lobbies, demoman for a number of lobbies. This would give others an idea of what your main class is and a rough estimate of your experience with competitive games, etc.
Pretty cool idea
would love to be able to unlock some badges like play 50 lobbies as demoman or 100 as scout, or get an average k/d of over 2.5 etc :)
badges sound like a really dumb idea because they would encourage people playing the same class over and over all the time and getting rewarded for it
TF2 should stop rewarding people for practicing the same class over and over since they get better at that class, amirite?
Dominating on the Dime/Dominating for the Dime
Tip of the Hats, Helping Hats
It's actually pretty hard.
Yeah, if a 660 is cheapter than a 7850 and you plan to OC, might be worth it. If you plan to OC, someone else can help you a bit more (won't change which CPU you're getting). The $170-$230 GPU range will completely cover the games you play.
You could probably make a new system all together, keeping monitor/case/PSU/hard drive.
~$50-$60 RAM.
~$70-$130 Mobo.
~$220 CPU (i5 3770 or 2500K imo)
~$250 GPU (7850/7870, but if you want to the extra mile $350 for a 660 Ti)
~$100 SSD hard drive (100-120 GB on sale).
Depending on sales tax and shipping, it'll go a bit over $700. PSU/Case is reusable I'm assuming.
GPU: ~$250 7870 radeon http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814150605
RAM: ~$50 8GB 1600 RAM http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231314
Mobo: ~$105 mobo http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813157330
CPU: ~230 i5 3570k http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819116504
SSD: ~115 kingston SSD http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820239045
I'd personally wait for a specific GPU/RAM/SSD to go on sale before buying, because they go on sale often enough can you can end up saving $15-$20 from each component. CPU/Mobo prices don't change much.
