Keep disconnecting far away from waypoints. Hope their servers stabilize.

#13 Windwaker HD remake for Wii U in TF2 General Discussion

Question is, are they going to leave in all the glitches? Would love to see speedruns with better graphics.

#27 Community vs Pro's IV Registration... in TF2 General Discussion
shlanerI'm not really a part of any community so it doesn't affect me per se. I just don't think that it's fair that HL players can play but 6s can't. It's almost like you're saying 6s players are better

The original purpose was to introduce SPUF users to 6's. If you have 6's experience, it would defeat the entire purpose. Nowadays it helps gather in HL players too, but 6's players already know what's up.

#43 why in The Dumpster

The fact that you have to declare you're trolling makes everyone think otherwise. A good troll never has to explicitly say their trolling, and most of the time people will hate trolling because that's the fucking point of trolling.

Don't be surprised when people give you shit over being annoying. Although it would be kinda fun to troll him in #tf2mix by kicking him before a game starts.

#5 Updated Soap spawns [7/28/12] in TF2 General Discussion
TechDudegive us metalworks

You can make your own by using getpos in console wherever you want to spawn and formatting it into the right format (looking at the config file, it's not too hard).

"cp_process_b10"
	{
		"red"
		{
			"RED Label"
			{
				"origin"	"661.984497 1406.437256 688.969666"
				"angles"	"-0.396069 -91.199615 0.000000"
			}
		}
		"blue"
		{
			"BLU Label"
			{
				"origin"	"661.984497 1406.437256 688.969666"
				"angles"	"-0.396069 -91.199615 0.000000"
			}
	}
}

Just copy paste the angle/origin to get from getpos and you're pretty much set.

#9 Scoreboard on sides in TF2 General Discussion
HazSwagpot A hud crosshair would not disappear. Plus the reason for this is so that he can see what's happening. He's not going to actually try to kill something while looking at the scoreboard.
Normal crosshairs dont disappear either.
brownymasterIssue still is you won't know your Ammo/HP while fighting unless you disable it. It's best left for a toggle during transition times.
Is there a way to add these features to the scoreboard? I haven't done any hud editing.

None that I know of (I believe +score forces a state where they are hidden). Best I can think of is making a plugin, but that goes into "hacks".

#6 Scoreboard on sides in TF2 General Discussion
potAnthalNot only will your crosshair disappear, but so will your health, ammo, targetID frames, etc.

If I remember and/or have time tonight, I might be able to scrape something together. You won't be able to get class for the enemy team, so it'll just be blank, and the above limitations will still apply.

#8 What do you guys think of Alienware laptops? in Hardware
swiperWhy buy an expensive laptop? You can build a better desktop for the same price and have something much more enjoyable to play on. You can get a cheap laptop/tablet/netbook too if you really need something portable...my $300 laptop can run TF2.

I know a good number of people who need a laptop to take around college and home and would rather have a well specced machine than having a desktop at home and at school. Also, $300 laptops are generally shit.

If you already got it, isn't a bit late to ask? You'll find out yourself anyways, plus you gave zero specs.

#4 Scoreboard on sides in TF2 General Discussion

Seems kinda counter intuitive since you won't be able to quickly see who's up on both teams (having to look across the board for information). Also, like Anthal said, really can cripple your information if you can't see your ammo/hp/etc.

It shouldn't be hard to implement though, as you're just moving each team scoreboard to a side. Making it look good takes a bit though, so praise Anthal for that.
