I'm not sure if it's possible. I can create multiple "packages" with different price tags (and different content), but it doesn't have a name your price option. And I don't really like having multiple price tags with exactly the same product ... hmmm.
I'd appreciate a convenient way to donate more than just a few bucks, even if it's just a separate "donate" link. If I can do that by throwing 10 copies in my cart before checking out, that's fine too.
Original link's down for me. Anyone have a mirror?
I'm pretty sure a mod for comp arena exists. IIRC it's called CS:GO.
When I was building my computer recently I found r/buildapc and r/buildapcforme to be fantastic resources. You can also find great deals on hardware through pcpartpicker.com, which is run by a guy from r/buildapc who started doing it full-time.
Before you throw down a thousand dollars, I suggest you spend some time with those three resources so you end up getting the best computer for your specific needs, spending money where you know it'll do you the most good.
Maybe they just mean during their bootcamp week.
Could be. I just remember hearing Mike or someone mention it on stream. I hope it's true, though. I like the idea of the underdogs scheming to gain an advantage over the Americans.
From a VanillaTV interview after the ETF2L Grand Final: Epsilon plans to scrim exclusively with the Aussies to prep for i49. Brilliant.
HRG should sign onto an exclusive scrim pact with Broder.
EDIT: Apparently I'm wrong about the scrim plans being exclusive. My bad! I still like the idea of it, though.
I'd just like to echo the common sentiment that mix's main problem is people who've stopped taking it seriously. High-skilled players abusing strategies that only work because they're playing against people they can stomp, low-skilled players who mask their insecurity by messing around; both are problems.
These problems can only be addressed by changing the norms of the community as a whole. Derping around as pyro, sniper, or spy is a prisoner's dilemma: everyone hates on it, but we all know it's really fun when you're the one doing it. TF2Lobby's failure to police that collective action problem is what led to it's demise, and the same thing's happening in mix.
More (and more active) admins is a necessary start, and we should all act on the admins' request to actually report trolls (I know I just seethe in silence, which doesn't help anyone). But we should all feel entitled to call people out for screwing around, even (especially!) if they're some too-cool-for-school invite or IM player. People will only stop selfishly screwing around when that behavior is so shamed by the community it's no longer in their interest to do so.
Added for a tryout. Basics on me:
Played a few seasons of HL med, then a smidge of open med, then finally got a computer w/ >30 fps and started playing scout.
Newish to the class, but my gamesense and comms are good from all that medicine. I have to make an effort to stfu and not maincall as scout. I'm ringing for a few UGC teams (steel and silver) this season and consistently top-fragging, but let's be real we all know that's meaningless :).
DM's rapidly improving with plenty of MGE, etc, but for now my positioning has carried me surprisingly far. I see myself as mid-high open, but I'd be interested to see where I stand in relation to you all.
