#26 D&D and Other Tabletops in Other Games

I've always enjoyed the concept of role playing but the Tabletop scene here in Singapore is pretty small, so I've never had the opportunity to explore the interest fully.

Always thought it'd be really cool if I could gather a group of friends and get one friend who's REALLY knowledgeable at D&D to GM us.

#47 Uncle Dane Valve Visit in TF2 General Discussion
Avvytbf dane is quite sound. theres def worse people in the 'tf2 youtuber' crowd

Valve is amazing. They've managed to convince both communities that the odds are stacked against them.

BlitheHoppsshounicyeah whats the story behind shounic is he like a hardcore b4nny sub that turned into his personal assistant??

Shounic was Asia's greatest meme and now he's gone international. He used to be the head administrator of AsiaFortress but moved away.

Makes me proud to see an Asian in the big leagues.

#10 Most U.S. Religious Groups Support Gay Marriage in World Events

As a mormon, we have pretty strict ideas on marriage, so I find it interesting that there's still a large percentage of people that support gay marriage.

In regards to business, I don't think it's right for someone to refuse commercial services on religious grounds, but marriage is a gray area because it's both civil and religious for some.

Some people genuinely believe that they are following a higher law than the state's, which is the law of their religion. Maybe they're afraid to violate those laws for fear of retribution in the afterlife.

#18 PUGING IN ASIA in TF2 General Discussion
anurodhsaikyouhunterAs far as my experience goes, if you drop uber in a shana pug you get votekicked. Just sayin...and you'll never get picked if you're new and no one knows you even if you're decent in game

That's why the +1 list exists.

As for decency in game, you don't get to decide how good others think you are. If you're good, they'll pick you. If there's someone better, they'll pick him.

I know. I've been picked over plenty of times. All you can do is strive to improve and listen to comms better the next time you get the opportunity.

#39 Sniper aim training in TF2 General Discussion

Hello fellow Singaporean.

If you're looking at all the advice these people are giving you, I should advise you that several resources listed by them are not available because you were born in the wrong country.

- Lobbies are not a thing in South East Asia; you have a negligible chance of finding a center with less than 150 ping, much less a stadium.
- There are no DM servers in Asia that I know of, and I suspect that because I don't know of them, the ones that actually exist are likely empty.
- HL PUGs are such a rarity that I haven't seen one happen in at least a month.

Consequences of having a small player base. However, what I can do is invite you to these two groups:
http://steamcommunity.com/groups/asiafortresspickupgames
http://steamcommunity.com/groups/shanapugs

These are for 6s PUGs in SEA, and will alert you whenever one is getting started. Should be a good place to get decent practice against players that have a brain and can dodge.

Granted, if you perma sniper in a PUG I am playing I will kick you, so please do practice sniper only when the situation calls for it.

#11 Sensitivity. in Q/A Help

I'd say it matters what mouse you're using as well. I was unable to build up any kind of consistency and muscle memory until I switched off the m100r, which was an office mouse.
