#12 How to TF2 in Mentoring

Not sure if I shold ask this here, but even if I do fine in MGE (20-15 score usually), I am still absmyal at matches, where I end up with doing only ~2000 damage, and dying every mid. I have been practising MGE a lot these days, but it still doesnt seem to help. Any idea how I could improve?

flameassemble a fake update page, fake patch notes, a tf2 frag video made in source filmmaker, and a ridiculous comic and published it as a 'leaked' update

Reminds me of the Fancy Vs Nasty Update, and the Night of the Living Update. Even though they were unofficial updates, Valve took notice of them, and added many of the items it introduced into the game (The Fancy vs Nasty update bought in the Frying Pan, as an example).

#190 Lange's thoughts on the state of competitive TF2 in TF2 General Discussion
OrangecakevibhavpEven if we dont make it to the mega-grand stage of esports, the fact that, as Lange himself said in the GXL outro video: Lange we can unite over the fact that we love this game and the community so much that we're willing to spend our own resources *just to share it with people*, maybe that's enough. And as long as we continue to do it, competitive TF2 will go a loooong way. Im pretty sure 2015 will be a bigger blast, so if anyone thinks they're done with the game, you're going to miss something really good :D
The GXL outro video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A3c2b6KRyHE, Lange's part starts at 5:18.

Threw this together when I saw the vid the first time, feel like it's pretty relevant now.

It's actually "compensated" instead of "coveted", but yeah, awesome work there :)

I wont say that competitive TF2 is dead/dying. Even if Valve didn't do anything for the game this year, it was still a blast for our community. We did Tip of the Hats (which bought over a whooping 65,000 viewers), i52 and the GXL LAN (which by far was the best lan I had ever seen) all by ourselves. After all, TF2 is the third most played game on Steam, and even if a small fraction of this playerbase which only knows of pubs, can head over to the competitive community, there is no question of comp tf2 dying.

TF2Newbs (specifically their Dustbowl servers) and TF2APP. I made a lot of friends there.

Dasmemsfm sucked too boring and that blue spy cant even backstab

IMO, the SFM short was really good (great soundtrack), but the way Valve handled the whole thing made it pretty bad (a pyro taunt, a meele reskin, $5 silly duck event, etc).

The EOTL map cp_snowplow was cut because it was too complex for new players, according to Valve: http://forums.tf2maps.net/showpost.php?p=315021&postcount=67
