that is probably the most over used and piss poor excuse i've ever heard lmfao
in-case you're new to esea playoffs, it's a BEST OF THREE MAPS, aka you play THREE WHOLE MAPS
considering there's a sizable amount of time between maps so the server can rotate through the three, not even counting time between halves, the maximum possible time it could take to play the match could be at least 3 hours, since there's two 30 minutes halves between maps
why in god's name would you start a best of three knowing full well you had to go early or risk losing all your sleep

Happyseditsis there any logical reason why valve doesnt invest in TF2?
cause currently tf2 is just a money printer for valve and the majority of it's player base doesn't want it to be a competitive game
csgo and dota 2 on the other hand are updated versions of competitive games that were already around, so it's only natural for valve to invest time and money into growing those competitive scenes
