– Flash Gaming is replacing Tyloo at the Boston 2018 Major:
— Flash Gaming stickers and graffiti are now available for purchase and are part of the ELEAGUE 2018 Boston CS:GO Major Championship Mega Bundle (the Mega Bundle no longer includes Tyloo).
— Boston 2018 Minor Challengers with Flash Gaming Autograph Capsule is now available (this capsule does not include Tyloo).

Valve- Fixed Festivize Woodsy Widowmaker not drawing the lights
- Fixed the main menu being muted if clients disconnect from a server while in freezecam
- Updated festivized items to use "Festivized" in the name instead of "Festive"
- This will help disinguish the original Festive weapons from weapons that have had a Festivizer applied to them
- Updated Strangifiers so they can no longer be applied to War Paint items
- Updated the equip_regions for the The Koala Compact, Pocket Saxton, and Pocket Yeti

Rumor has it:

- A note was missing from the Smissmas 2017 update, it has been amended into and can be found at the thread for that update

#24 Valve will VAC ban you automatically for username in TF2 General Discussion

/u/vMcJohnHi! Valve employee here. The bug report is incorrect. VAC will not ban you for simply having catbot in your user name (either your steam profile or on one or more of your linux accounts).

The bug report--and I suspect many of the posts in this thread--are a tactic employed by cheaters to try and sow discord and distrust among anticheat systems.

VAC has many different types of detections and we cannot discuss what they do publicly because doing so makes them less effective. However, one thing I can disclose is that all detections require that the detection occur while a user is actively cheating and connected to a VAC-secured server.

Linux historically hasn't been a problem for cheating--the base rate of cheating is significantly lower on Linux than it is on Windows. Unfortunately, a "healthy" community of cheaters grew up around catbot on linux and their impact on TF became large enough that they simply could no longer be ignored. Those banned users are very annoyed that VAC has dropped the hammer on them.

Kisak moderates many of valve's github bug repositories for us in an attempt to keep the bugs high quality and actionable. The VAC team asked him to close the issue in question and to indicate that github was not an appropriate location to discuss VAC bans. He did so, and we support this action.

I assume it was Update's fault why it's so late
Tho it's still kinda dissapointing :/

It would probably be the fault of their Lincoln Square Expansion move in September, which would've been about when they would've announced it in past years. By the way, now that they're there, the Best Overall winners will be the first winners to see the new space.

-Fixed an exploit that allowed ambient sounds to be completely disabled.

[ MISC ]
-Re-enabled SSE4 optimizations for string tables and added -nosse4 command line option to disable SSE4.
-“find” console command now allows specifying multiple search strings. For example, “find decal r_” will find commands and variables that contain both “r_” and “decal”.

Rumor has it:

- To fix the ambient sounds issue, the scripts to control them have been moved into the VPK file structure to make them protected by sv_pure (and they got extension changes too)
