without breaking down into the history of each drive, most are from upgrades, like the two samsungs from my desktop (im now using a 512gb 3d vertical nand), the 64gb drives from various family members pcs when they upgraded to larger drives, etc. just crap ive accumulated over the years. the drives range from 1-3 years old.
I agree with #5 with the 7970 being a great value card which is true. I own a GTX 680 which compares close to that card, but the price tag is usually +$50 used, at least. I don't agree with the aging aspect, I think both cards (and all gfx cards in general) age the same, it depends on market factors, support, launch price etc that determine value.
You also need to keep in mind what monitor you own/will get, and how the AMD/Nvidia cards affect your display output. e.g. nvidia/lightboost combo
i have some ssds, samsung, crucial, 60-256gb, have multiple of them fs. message me if interested

The monoprice 144Hz is still $160
seen this in another thread and decided to pull the trigger. i am coming from a sony gdm-fw900 so i will post results. i dont have super high expectations for a 160 dollar monitor but i hope i dont get severely heartbroken. one reviewer said 3.5ms response time, others have said 1ms, it doesnt seem to be documented by monoprice. i missed the asus for around 200 and dont feel like buying a used/refurbished one.
ps food for thought- neweggs 3rd party refund policy for the QNIX (which looks like shit btw) is like 15% restocking fee if opened or unless its DOA. Monoprices refund policy with theirs seems to be you only pay return S&H
ok so im back. i got my monitor relatively quick, 1 full week delivery, but ive been busy and didnt have time to set it up until tonight. here are some of my thoughts right off the bat, obviously ymmv:
1) ill start with shipping since i know thats a concern for some people, mine came double boxed and the monitor used foam to protect itself pretty nicely so thats a plus. +1
2)the base's bottom has a thin plastic circular piece with rubber feet on the bottom rather than having the stand rotate inside the base, weird engineering but whatever. at first i was pissed because the base spun fast and felt loose but when pressure of the monitor and stand is applied, it doesnt rotate as much. the rubber feet on the bottom are large and it grips well. +1
3)the stand screws into the back of the monitor, this part i had some trouble with since the screws go through the back of the stand, then thru the plastic back of the monitor into the metal housing of the components. i had to apply a good amount of force to get the screws to thread thru the plastic into the metal housing, so that was a pain -0.49999999
4) does rotate 90deg which makes it nice to hookup if youve already assembled the base and stand. +1
5) boots average speed, menu easy to follow, colors calibrated to my liking within minutes. +1
now the bad
6) my monitor came with a "light spot" the size of a dime about 6 inches southwest from the middle of the screen (as pictured below) i pressed on it just to fuck with it and it made a pixel turn green, then pressed it again and it went back lmao
7) the response time is definitely noticeable between this and my crt, but then again this is my first real 120/144hz led so i may have been spoiled by the cancer giving tubes ive been staring into for years. there is also noticeable blur compared to my crt, but again probably same reason as above. right now i have them next to each other to see which i like best but im trying to get away from the crt why do i do this to myself???iwede2whfuiowebcvju io;qwn3r9-ujm
idk ill probably rma it if the spot bothers me enough, really not a bad monitor for 160 bucks. but this review is useless to you all now since i saw its back up to 250
