This looks like an amazing idea. You're welcome to add me if you want to discuss more over steam, I'd like to think I have some ideas to contribute to this. :)
well it looks like at 1800x1440 it does 150hz. so yes. better even by 30 hz
800 x 600 / 85.0 Hz,
1280 x 1024 / 150.0 Hz,
1800 x 1440 / 150.0 Hz,
1600 x 1200 / 115.0 Hz,
1024 x 768 / 145.0 Hz,
640 x 480 / 80.0 Hz
so there you go. i personally use a sony gdm-fw900, and im always on the hunt for local monitors of similar caliber as backups. any 'pro' or 'graphic' product line from manufacturers are always good things to watch out for. also, anything trinitron or diamondtron and similar technologies are among things to look out for.
I use a crt mainly for the cost. i got two for free. you cant beat that at all. however there is always the thought in the back of my head of it dying, since anything crt will already be aged pretty well. i never had a chance to use a 120hz+ lcd, so i cant compare. all i can say is that im pretty happy with my crt. zero input lag, great colors, customizable resolution and screen size, free/very cheap. im all for it.
just saying this is for people like in this thread:
http://teamfortress.tv/forum/thread/9200-xl2420t-or-the-vg248qe
that still debate the benq vs asus even though of the 80 dollar difference. i would go for the asus at the 80 dollar difference but this makes it harder. i actually don't have money for either right now, so im stuck with the 120hz crt.

woot has this great monitor on sale for 279. it is however refurbished.
they also have the very similar xl2420tx for 40 dollars more. i couldnt tell ya the difference.

***EDIT: its actually 279. sorry.
So it says it needs to be preloaded? I have a sgs3 but I flashed it with a nexus ROM - needless to say it didn't come preloaded. Am I still eligible?
dunno if this was posted yet:

it is recommended here that between 9pm cst - 12am cst (10pm est - 1am est) on tuesday june 11th, esea will be doing server work on their dallas server. i actually almost picked one for this time, because ironically enough it was the only one available. just an fyi for everyone.
