I personally don't think tf2c is gonna do anything about it unless tf2s actually blows up and gets a big (and I mean really big) part of their traffic, as I said they don't need to implement anything new or bring major updates at this point, site-wise I don't see anything I would want to be changed in tf2c (not looking too deep into it tho), people-wise you can't do anything with them and that's just the way the cookie crumbles

people see the potential in tf2s and that's a good thing, but really nothing else you can speculate about at this point other than questionable decisions by tf2c admins only bringing more controversy and showing them in a bad light - as if we don't know what kind of people run the site and their reputation - and that's why I thought it's gonna be a drama topic

you can't talk about tf2c's potential, the site's been around for years and clearly saw best days, now it's just a platform, pretty much nowhere to grow for them

tf2s was launched yesterday, you can't say for sure what's gonna be better, of course it has the potential in terms of the site itself, it looks neat, nice people running it, but the playerbase is nowhere near compatible to tf2c's and the site itself isn't finished (bugs, suggestions etc.), just got to wait and see what's gonna happen, the biggest rival is still has yet to come for both tf2c/s

and making this topic is literally 'lol lets have another drama thread about how bad/good this and that site is' which I don't like

there was that guy Ive been playing with in my first 6s team back in 2011, we got along well and he was a nice dude, at some point he stopped playing tf2 and switched to dota and then just stopped appearing online completely.

last time I saw him was somewhere around 2012, and Ive been asking everybody who knew him (we had a big 'community' of friends back there) if something happened but noone could tell.

now just imagine how somewhere around september 2015 all of a sudden he appears online and enters our mumble channel. the guy I actually thought that was dead. turned out he's been busy with 'adult life' and mostly playing games on his console

if they read at least one post in thread they'd realise that the idea of this tweet is not as good as it might look (well it's been said by a famous tf2 player and streamer he surely knows the drill; in fact he doesn't)

therefore they probably will start questioning that and think for themselves and maybe try and think of why is that good thing or not, maybe take a look at some other famous guy's opinion ie sideshow's rant

in the end its all about the fact that people can make mistakes even with thousands of hours in game behind their backs and that a good pinch of salt is always a good thing when it comes to popular opinion about something
