If you haven't donated yet today's the last day to do so.
I've been wanting to repaste my Asus G73 for a few months now, but honestly my biggest reservation is not knowing which thermal paste compound I should go with. They're all relatively cheap, but so many people recommend so many different brands that it gets a little confusing.
If it upsets you, then don't play in the league. There's no real reason to continue this discussion.

Do you have a happy hacking keyboard? They seem really cool, but paying over 200 dollars for a keyboard seems incredibly wasteful even if you have the income to justify it.
Pretty ironic how all this spawned from a post linking to an article on constructive feedback.
Definitely buckling spring. After buying a unicomp I had a chance to use a friend's Das with blues and they felt really plasticy and cheap compared buckling springs. Just preference, I guess.
Do yourself a favor and buy nice headphones and a microphone.
I don't know if it's my network settings, but changing them doesn't prevent it from happening. I'd chalk it up to being shitty internet, but it doesn't happen with any other game.
it began as 'fuck your yankee blue jeans'
So all this year at university I've been getting weird lag spikes while playing TF2. The game will freeze for a second, stutter, and then be fine. These usually come clustered near each other. The weird thing is that it's really only TF2 that this happens in. I can play CS:GO for hours and not have a problem. Could it be something with my network settings? I'm currently using:
cl_cmdrate 66
cl_interp 0
cl_interp_ratio 1
cl_lagcompensation 1
cl_pred_optimize 2
cl_smooth 0
cl_smoothtime 0.01
cl_updaterate 66
rate 60000
I have no idea what to do, but this is growing more and more frustrating.
I played a season of UGC and a season of reddit tf2 league prior to joining an open team for season13. If you're serious about improving, then playing in open is a good idea. My only advice is make sure that you like the people you're playing with. You're going to get destroyed by some teams, but what hurts even more is losing a close match. Yet, above it all, if you guys can target ares of your play that you need to work on, and and even have fun doing so, then you'll have an enjoyable season. Plus, as Marmaduke said, a lot of the top teams from last season were moved up to intermediate, and that's going to drastically open the playing field for newer and less experienced teams.
Oafmealand I have no problem hanging out with smokers as I finally realized I CANNOT just have one drag. It's either don't smoke, or go back to over 10/day for me, and fuck that shit. I am done, and feel waaaaaaaaay better for it.
This really hit home for me. My problem is that even though I'm "quitting," I'll still bum a smoke pretty regularly (about every weekend) from friends. I always thought that it wasn't doing me much harm, but I'm still smoking and I'd really just like to be done with it.
Me and some friends started a metalcore band when we were in 10th grade, and playing gigs in smoky bars only makes impressionable high schoolers want to smoke. I'll be a senior in college next semester, and I'm proud to say that I've largely kicked the habit. It's just when I drink that my self-control goes to naught :(
I'm always down to play:
