#36 how 2 balance quick fix in TF2 General Discussion
Messing_AroundMake it like in the trailer: https://youtu.be/36lSzUMBJnc?t=183

Only teammate received stock Uber, the Medic has Megaheal
Normal healing rate - overheal
+25% Ubercharge rate (Basically like Kritzkrieg)

Maybe it's just me but with a nerfed Uber I think the increased heal rate is okay.

Maybe make the max heal rate (crit heals) the same as the stock medigun so crit heals aren't basically instant full health? Removing crit heals altogether is probably a bit much but they're so crazy with the increased heal rate as-is.

And remove jumping.

SetsulEarly previews show it on par with Broadwell in best case scenarios, which are not Intel's latest offerings except for the HEDT, which isn't exactly relevant for TF2.

Considering the IPC improvement from Broadwell to Skylake was only ~3%, this isn't as big of a deal as it may seem.

Setsul#11
I don't know why anyone -fragged this, with some exceptions like Overwatch, ARMA 3 or Ashes of the Singularity to name a few that is correct.

After this long on this forum, haven't you realized yet that people +/- frag based on their feelings and not actual accuracy?

Viperryzen is gonna be on par with skylake and possibly low-end kaby lake cpus, plus it's amd's first architecture to support ddr4 and pci-e 3.0 (fucking finally)

so yeah just wait, and if ryzen offerings aren't for you then there's a lot of good low-mid tier kaby lake cpus that can get the job done

Not to mention the other tech involved with those. M.2, USB 3.0, NVMe...

That's right, AMD literally didn't have USB 3.0. Motherboard manufacturers had to use add-on controllers in order to have them. What the fuck even.

  1. TF2 scales to around three cores iirc. It'll use more but you won't see almost any benefit.
  2. Because of this, what you need is raw single threaded performance, which for the last half a decade AMD has been absolute garbage at. So normally I would say Intel without a doubt.
  3. HOWEVER AMD's Ryzen CPUs are launching within a month, and mark the first major architecture rework from AMD in a long time, led by the same guy responsible for their Athlon 64 dominance and Apple's recent CPUs. Early previews and benchmarks are showing single threaded performance on par with Intel's latest offerings. So, wait a month.

#56 240hz Asus Monitor in Hardware
VulcanUmm i know for sure that you should be getting a lot more than that, do you use a config? Im using a 6700K and a 960m and i get higher

Oh I can get higher when things aren't happening, but what I'm trying to say is a stable 144.

There is no fucking way someone is holding a 100% stable 240fps in a game with such shitty frame times and poor CPU utilization as TF2.

meth0di know..i've never attempted to explain how processors work...the point was to show that it is very possible to run tf2 at about 240 fps with max video settings at 1920x1080 on a 32 men server with a stock 5820k. hence you can take advantage of a 240hz monitor in a 6v6 match np

I can't get a stable 144fps with a 5930k at 5GHz and a 970 on a 12 man server, so either you're completely delusional, talking out of your ass, or both.

Eat shit.

#97 Timing items instead of banning them in TF2 General Discussion
Mecha_CopIt would be very hard for players to enforce and no one who enjoys a competitive and skill based gaming environment wants to play against retard shit like the Crit a Cola which literally has no counter other than a Scout running into a sentry gun. The reason certain items are banned is because they make the game less skill based and enjoyable. More items=/=more skill based gameplay and if you don't understand that you're probably too stupid to be playing 6s.

sounds like he wants to give the scout an ultimate ability?? because those work so well in other games
