My dog that I grew up with as a kid. A year ago I gave her one last bath, dried her, brushed her and all that. An hour later she passed away in my arms. She was a noisy, stinky dog that bit me when I was younger, and I miss her even more.

Shame. Seemed you guys had a really good attitude towards the game. It's unfortunate that you had a bunch of issues affecting your ability to play in the season. Hopefully that won't stop some of you guys from continuing to play in later seasons.

#27 Open world RPGs in Off Topic
gr8stalinIn terms of "open world" games, if you haven't put STALKER in your god damn computer you're fuckin' up. STALKER's gunplay isn't something that's easy to get used to, and you'll be doing a lot of walking, but there is a lot to do. That and modded Morrowind. I personally couldn't get into Morrowind too much, but the world, the characters in it, and the story around all of it is incredibly interesting to me and I'd probably end up giving it a chance again.

Misery mod for STALKER is pretty much essential, too. +1 for Morrowind, as well. Couldn't stop playing through that game while I was younger & modding the shit out of it, despite the result taking 500 years to load each damn area. Obviously won't happen now with the quality of hardware.

The Witcher 2 is really good. Especially with the combat rebalance mod that was released by the devs. It really increases the quality of combat as opposed to it degenerating to: spam roll to get behind enemy, backstab. Not necessarily open, as once you finish each act, you can't go back to that area.

Risen & Gothic series are decent (and kinda open world?), though the controls in Gothic are an absolute pain in the ass.

DA:O is also kinda open world, I guess. My first playthrough took me ~200 hours, and I only think that was everything (sidequests etc) 85% completed. Had a lot of fun with this one, despite me unintentionally playing the op class (Arcane Warrior). If you want to have fun with this game, I recommend playing it on a hard difficulty.

The sheets were a debuff, afaik, but it's still a pretty stupid mechanic. If seeing the sniper is a big deal, maybe change the sheets to a one way mirror or something, so the defending team can see him as he crosses for the sight-line.

Being able to do explosive damage like that just limits movement for the attacking team. Pretty much no one can cross the bats if it's sticky trapped. Sure you can shoot them off through the sheets yourself, but it works much better one way than the other way, ie. can spam it, can't spam through it if you're up there.

That's what I was thinking, though not 100% sure. It kinda poops on people if they want to push across battlements either way, regardless of class. Bit of a neutral change, I guess.

Will have to see what everyone else thinks about it. People think the 'lesser' sight-lines on pro via aren't enough, some do (snipers probably ;p). Some of the QOL changes are nice, though (rock, lights).

the room with the logs in the house (when you leave spawn to mid) has lights
the houses have lights
rocks are fixed
you can’t wallbang through the sign at mid anymore
tunnel has lights
both cliffs are easily accessable by jumping on the rock near the point
the map is generally a bit more brighter
you can jump on top of the windows at mid near the bridge
you can’t hide on the light near cliffside anymore

What do they mean by this? The wooden signs in mid? Or the metal sheets on battlements. If it's the former, then I never really noticed this occurring in game. If it's the latter, it's a slight buff to snipers, and you don't have to die to that pesky sticky-trap on the sheets if you're passing across the battlements, or get spammed by rockets through them.

And all these "lights" changes; I thought every room already had lights? Or are they just brighter. I guess this is just QOL changes and nothing TOO big, apart from the potential sheet metal change. Will test and have a look.

EDIT: confirmed, can't shoot explosives through the metal sheets anymore on battlements. Also got some screenshots. Will edit with them.
