S'all good - just turn up the interp and get the lagvantage
I thought you couldn't change your interp in ESEA servers? If not, I've been missing out on those placebo opportunities on dallas servers.
I thought the same thing, but I was told that wasn't true. It's apparently default restrictions (can't change while alive, can change when switching classes).

It was a joke.

#20 Mouse and Mousepad in Hardware
AloSecHey, if you like having a good scroll wheel I would advise against the g400. I went from a deathadder to a g400 and the quality difference of the scroll wheel is.... huge. The scroll on the DA was nice and clunky, and you could easily tell between the scroll notches.

The best way to describe the scroll on the g400 is 'iffy'.

The scroll-wheel is fine for me, and I bunny hop all the damn time.

Croissants are fucking delicious, especially toasted with ham & cheese.

EDIT: didn't even read the thread. I'm an idiot.

Never played this map. Was always voted in at 3am Aussie pugs as a 'troll vote' by the usual suspects, and people always left when it happened.

Hopefully it looks decent!

#2 Mouse and Mousepad in Hardware

The Logitech G400 is an extremely popular option for many users.

+Nice size
+Right handed ergonomic (for right handed people duh!)
+Optical sensor that is without flaws, no positive/negative accel or nasty stuff like that.
+Good LOD (don't remember exact measurement)
+Extra mouse buttons
+Relatively inexpensive (<40 AUD for me brand new).

+- More of a palm grip mouse (I think?)
+- Weighty compared to some other mice, no adjustable weight unless you cut it open (104 grams without cord, 133 with)
-Known to have issues with the cord almost all the time. Keep an eye on it
-Right handed only, lefties may have issues with this one.

Though you may have to replace it after a while due to the aforementioned cord issue, so you may look into something like a Deathadder which is also another very popular option, and I don't hear too much complaining about the cord for that. The G400 is inexpensive as previously mentioned, though, so it may not be so off-putting.

#4 ESEA-Invite Power Rankings: Week 5 in News

Our game was 20(?) seconds away from being a 2-0, correct me if I'm wrong. Sure they didn't have their core, hero was apparently lagging a decent amount of the game, it was a much closer game than you indicated by saying "They put on a good attempt...". /rant

Thanks for putting the time in to do these write ups.

Ah, I thought something was missing, my bookmarks got resetted, thanks!
Also why does it say /v/'s and links to esreality, who makes these lists anyway.

People on /v/ make the list. It's not really the best thing to go by at all. Best thing for people to do is just look up hardware specs on mice and use the one that's the best for them. After all, sheep uses a G9 and swears by it, despite it being "shit tier"

To be fair, that's more rad (the soldier) missing every shot, than sheep doing anything ;p.

#8 Why there are so many chaotic roster changes ? in TF2 General Discussion

The game just doesn't appeal to the masses as an "ESport". It's just a "hat simulator", "cartoon game", "casual fest" to 80+% of the player-base.

As much as I hate to say it, that's the truth. The competitive scene can, and probably will, slowly but steadily grow, but there probably will not be any big competitions or surges of players in its lifetime.

Pains me to say that as I love the game and sought out the competitive scene in early '08, and have been playing since I bought it ('07).

Not only what I've said above, but it also doesn't help that, in general, it's fairly difficult to understand what's going on in TF2 when watching a pro game for the first time, especially the intricate things that happen during phase-play (timing by scouts to come in to help post uber, clutch uber flashes mid-fight, etc). Kinda harder to follow opposed to CS, where it's just 5 guys sitting around for half a game until one of them pushes, then it resets to the next round. To be fair, FPS's have pretty much gone out of favor, with the previous mention of CS:GO being the only notable exception.

YodoFor some reason I feel like EU scene is more consistent or am I wrong?
Anyway, we have this site, streams, YouTube channels - all stuff to spread TF2 into masses, and it is done very well and professional. The quality (and quantity) of TF2 support materials is really good. Is not it strange that we have dedicated "frame" but not a "picture"? Some actions to push players in right direction? Or the only thing we can do is to wait for Valve official support?

EU scene has maybe two(?) teams that have been consistent for a few seasons, but the fact remains that it's hard to stay interested in TF2 for a long period of time as a comp player. Look at iM (our team in Australia). We've been practically at the top for our lifespan (3+ years), it's no wonder we've gone through 10+ other players in our lifetime.

tl;dr I love TF2 as much as any other - but it won't get the comp following that we think it deserves

tl;dr pt 2 - need another good arena shooter or something. pls

Because there is little incentive for people to take TF2 as seriously as the other "big pro games".

EDIT: hey you answered it yourself!
