Wild_Rumpushow did its popularity grow without its stats even being touched? was it always slept on until a few players learned to use it well or did the meta change to allow room for its use?
over time as people's mechanics got better and better it became more viable for the average player to run it and the players with the best mechanics/jumps will find ways to push weapons to the next level / inspire people to try them out and do the same.
It's the same reason people wanna play sniper. they saw someone hit a nutty clip once and they wanna do it too
