SolidSpeerlaiyeWhat do you guys think about cl_smooth?
Makes a great combo with Pete Rock.

For L4D, but I doubt there's a ton of difference.
manazigzterI guess I should've elaborated. I meant who plays TF2 for prizes at all? I just think if you want prizes, it shouldn't be money, especially since the majority of players who'd participate in this league would be ESEA players, so it'd be difficult to convince them to cough up more money for another league. (Unless the plan is to get the prize money from a different source, which I can't see happening.)Sure, no one lives on winning TF2, but on one hand you have great competitions like ESEA LAN and on the other extreme, CEVO and UGC 6s, both of which have been varying degrees of bad. In order to motivate for good games, there's gotta be some kind of motivator somewhere.
That said, this whole discussion is moot because we can't do it.
I think the difference between ESEA and CEVO/UGC isn't the prizes, it's the fact that ESEA is pay-to-play. Not many people are willing to pay $28 just to goof around, therefore the competition in ESEA is much fiercer.
That's my reasoning anyways..
VirulenceAlso, not that this would immediately be a problem, but there's possible issues with perception. Like if a bind spamming loser decides to run with the name in pubs or something.
The type of person who spams binds probably has no interest in promoting this website.
tf.tv is NOT available
tf2.tv is NOT available
From: https://www.doteasy.com/sign-up/
If it were to be done, it would have to be something like teamf.tv or tfort.tv or something.
Edit: Though Octane pointed out tf2.tv takes you to Arx and Beta's YouTube. Maybe someone could convince them to let Enigma have it for this site?
"twitch.tv/" is a lot shorter than "teamfortress.tv/streams/view/".
There have been at least two topics about a shortened URL (one by me), and there was something about two letter URLs domain names being really hard to get. I don't remember the exact reason.
..and if you add tf.tv to your name without having the domain, people will probably go to tf.tv, see it doesn't exist, and then forget about it.
If I saw someone with "dota2.tv" in their name and the URL didn't return me anything, I don't think I'd try putting in "defenceoftheancients2.tv".
enigmazigzterOr prizes that aren't money? You can't tell me you play competitive TF2 for the money.what prize is actually worthwhile enough to induce competition that isn't money?

Don't just mindlessly grind practice. Practice specific things.
For example, I'm easily flustered by DM-heavy scouts (so 95% of scouts), so occasionally I'll ask someone on my friendslist who I know has good DM/movement to play MGE against me so I can build my confidence against said DM-heavy scouts and hit more rockets on them.
FzeroLOL, I assumed that they would act that way, glad I wasn't disappointed. This server side single player shit to stop pirating is just plain getting stupid. Not to mention most games don't even have demos anymore, so they just expect you to buy a game and hope for the best.
Didn't Ubisoft try this with one of the Assassin's Creeds and some group just made a server emulator? I'm guessing that'll happen again.
I'M COMING KEEP HIM THERE
