Did the Medic/Soldier not communicate correctly? Probably Yes. However, that doesn't mean the item mechanic is good for competitive play. Little gimmick items like this are the main reason the quality of 6's play will go down.
Incredible, a mechanic in competitive the utilizes communication, game-awareness and the progression of skill. It is almost like quick-fix involves learning a new aspect of the game that vanilla players seem to ignore.
This sounds like the same people who complain that kritzkrieg should be banned because it is not the vanilla tf2 medigun, yet it is not banned because once people learned how to use it, and also how to counter it, it became just an average weapon.
Ah yes, incredible communication for your soldier to learn to say "I'm jumping out in 2" and then have your medic out for free in pretty much any position, what an increase to the skill ceiling of team fortress 2

to keep the default crosshairs for a class, you would put cl_crosshair_file "" in its class config file, then for classes you want it to be different on, you would put cl_crosshair_file "X" with X being the crosshair file name
You could install vtf crosshairs for only the weapons you want to have that crosshair on

or you could just have the crosshair style command in your class cfgs, if one of the default styles is what you want
b4nnyMost people posting here are missing the entire point. Allowing the Crit-a-Cola or Gloves of Running Urgently in their current states could definitely forfeit your fun. Allowing a few innocuous non game changing unlocks doesn't forfeit your fun. The global whitelist project was always moving towards doing only more of the latter. No one except maybe Slin (who doesn't actually care what happens, only that people agree) is willing to completely remove whitelists at this time.
But why should we forfeit any of our fun in the slightest for a development team which has shown almost no desire to communicate or work with our community? Why should we trust them to make things better when they've had just about the minimum amount of competitive support possible?
One thing I would recommend is using at least 120 fps in lawena so you can slow it down like you did while avoiding the low fps that comes with slowing stuff down on 60. Another minor thing would be curving into and out of slow motion makes it feel much smoother

How did you make the images? I want to do something like it for my hud but short of illustrator I have no idea how to make something that looks remotely good.
inkscape is a good free vector editor with good tutorials and the like
in the scripts folder of the vtf crosshair, find tf_weapon_scattergun and open it with a text editor. Scroll down and find the part where it says
"TracerEffect" ""
and replace it with
"TracerEffect "bullet_scattergun_tracer01"
then save and you should be good
