But if hein gets cut then ruwin may leave and then mTs is the best highlander team cuz enigma carry :<
I think bonus is undergoing some changes to its roster that are going to make them a weaker team a bit? I'm pretty sure they're losing Pudding Cup and maybe Arthur, but I know if they're losing PCup they're picking up Fathom or Monochromatic Bunny on pyro. Two insane pyros lft right now.

well look at it this way
harbleu healed about 40% more (!!!) than hein and died just as much, also just started playing highlander medic during the playoffs. not a career highlander medic by any means.
hein is an obvious weak point that can come back to bite them in the ass next season if they keep him. his silver division talent really stood out when playing against a much more developed mTs.

When your players are taking more damage they need more heals. There are games where our Medic heals 5k+ less than the opposing Medic simply because we're laying on more damage than the other team. That doesn't make the other Medic better, just busier
Also this post will be taken as a jab against Harbleu or pro-Hein and that isn't my intention. I'm not even sure that you guys took more damage, I'd have to look at the logs

I'm not defending hein at all. Hell, I want him gone too. Slightly different reasons that him being a weak link, but I can't say I'll play on the same team as him ever again.
I thought I was a bit of a weaker link on the team personally though.

#37 That is mostly true on 6s, not as much on HL.
Harbleu healing 40% more than Hein just means that he knows how to use crit heals better than his counterpart.

I know nothing about medic in highlander but I would venture to guess that the 40% extra comes from the fact that Harb can stay alive through intense fights where Hein would have died. Then in the aftermath of said fights he can heal up his remaining teammates.
A little more than just knowing how to use crit heals. :D

Hein healed less because he was too busy changing the rules mid match

Finals used to be one full match on each map. This year it was one round on each one. It's very possible that this had an impact on their finals.

Yes, the front page was quickly edited during the match to reflect that it was only one round. Generally, finals are full matches on multiple maps so that the luck factor is removed. But instead finals only lasted as long as a regular highlander payload match.

harbleu is an invite medic. i don't think anyone should be surprised that he's better at the class than someone who has only ever played a much less competitive game format >.>

Completely wrong. Sounds like a bunch of familiar excuses and sore losers to me.

Pretty sure the rules weren't changed mid match, but they were VERY confusing. Not sure the admins really put a whole lot of thought into them. It would make sense to limit the finals to only one of each config type. That way you would only have one stopwatch map instead of 2 or 3 so you could play the full map and still save time with the shorter koth and 5cp maps. Who wants to see two payload maps anyways not to mention gpit as well. It would be much better from a spectating standpoint to have multiple map-types played.
LOL! What is this about me being cut? I've talked with stabby and vhalin and they dont know where this came from. The Syndicate is basically disbanding. Different players are going to different teams. Others are just not returning.
I don't know where this came from Sal/mustard/TMP.

you're right, ugc admins would never do something like that. that would be almost as crazy as banning a player for a whole year for cheating without any evidence. wait... shit.

They updated the post with rules at some point, but I'm pretty sure it was just a clarification. I read it early monday before the edit in preparation for the 3rd place match and it definitely said that gpit/payloads were only 1 round a piece.
I think harbleu is an incredible medic. He did an amazing job in such a short time. He may have had more heals than me, but it also could have just been that we put out a bit more damage. I died 7 times less than him, we both had 33 ubers and 0 drops. I can safely say that we both did a pretty amazing job vs the high level of talent on both teams. Mad props to him and mTs.
MonkeySuitDid anyone else just watch Hein drop 3 times?
Yea :( 2 from Snipers, 1 from a demo that I thought would get cleaned up. My fault.

Aww, come on Hein, saying ts is disbanding isn't as fun as calling you a bad medic
