Nice build, but you could have gotten a better SSD for an identical price like the SX900.

You're comparing a m4 to a sandforce controller...

Do the sandforce controllers still have problems? Would of thought they had worked it out by now.

From what I heard, there was a really good firmware update. They're still not on the level of reliability of an m4 or intel SSD though, who've been doing it right since the start. It's still a preference whether or not you want to take the risk of having to deal with RMA's, but I didn't think it was fair to say that a sandforce controller is better because they're cheaper and all have high speeds.

PS. I heard intel is starting to use Sandforce controllers last year. Up to you what you want. I kinda regret my choice on a really slow Sandisk SSD (it's like 25% faster than a normal HD), but it has yet to fail on me. Also seems to die a lot according to newegg reviews. Samsung and Kingston seem to have a pretty good track record too.

I like the case - I have a similar one, out of curiosity, does anybody know how to keep those giant side fans from becoming massive dust vacuums - the side screen thing just isn't that effective unless you clean it out every week or two :(

Also really like that mother board, it's treated me very well and has oodles of slots for crap I'll never use, I've got the older version (I think) so only 16 gigs max :( but oh well, it'll likely be forever until I actually need 32 gigs. Just working with the BIOS too is a lot more straight forward + the internet switch deal is really nice if you have an unstable connection lol.

If your case comes with built in gromits on the mobo pannel for cable management you should probably use them. Using zip ties is also a good tool for making cables which are poorly sleeved look a bit nicer. That tubing route from the h50 looks pretty awful too. Why the heck would you route your 8pin like that. Just some constructive criticism incase you build another rig.

The cables were run through the rubber grommets? I don't quite follow. The only ones that weren't run behind were the video card power cables and that's because the owner didn't want to run them behind. You're right about the H-50. The cables on the H-50 were moved around after this picture was taken.

However on the 8 pin. There was no other way for me to get the cable there. There was a hole up in the tray however the plug was to big to fit through. How else could I have done it?

Would have opted for a high performance air cooler instead of the corsair h50
