For those who are not able to start TF2 after this recent update,
all you have to do is go into your ui folder and delete WaveCompleteSummaryPanel.res
Furthermore, I am not entirely sure if this is the only definite way of fixing this bug. So far, this method worked for me.

if for whatever reason windows wont let you remove your hud (happened to me and others) just restart and remove it before launching steam

it's either tf2 without mvm, or no tf2 at all.

Removing this file didn't work for me initially (was on broeselhud v2.5), but the new versions by blue and shen worked fine if you install them and remove this file.

I did that and it worked until anytime i hit "tab" in mvm. I think the hud is the issue :(
