I get 50 down and 5 up. I definitely think the up should probably be better. But I have two options in my city. Twc and AT&T. I made the switch from AT&T about two months ago. And all they were offering was 15 down and .6 up, that's the highest speed AT&T offered us. So I switched to twc and haven't regretted it so far.

AT&T DSL and U-verse are two completely different things (even if they're branded the same). U-verse will have better upload. Pretty sure they're phasing out full DSL in places where fiber (fiber to a certain point in most places) U-verse exists.

Where I live twc seems to do fine. I always have a solid 30-45 ping unless its a west coast server. Internet pretty much never goes down.
