It's not just helping out someone. This is not a kindhearted individual who wants to communicate with a loved one but who is limited by language and doesn't have a dime to spare for a translator, this is a businessperson with money who wants to enter the international market without having to pay international expense (i.e. paying someone money for work that they want done.)

We are already in the international market, we have used google translate for the millions of words in product descriptions, I just thought for this leaflet I would like the instructions to be better quality. Our budget wouldn't really stretch for a translator and I realized I'm part of a great community full of people that speak a multitude of languages and as proven by tip of the hats are extremely kind!

If you've got millions of words of product descriptions, then there's money for a translator. If there's not money for a translator, then you don't get a better quality translation. You are using the labor of people who you are not paying in order to fuel your activities for which you are making money: that is exploitation. You are not a charity, so don't ask for donations as though you are one.

It's conjugated more formally, what you'd use for 2nd person with someone you don't know personnally but if you want it in informal 2nd it's not a big deal to change. There could be some mistakes, too, I haven't lived overseas in nearly 6 years now.

This idea is quite ignorant. I suppose, in your mind, the following scenarios are true. If not, you are wildly inconsistent with your beliefs.

1. Using google to find/learn things that will eventually make you money must be exploitation.
2. Asking someone for directions so you can get to a work seminar in a town with which you are not familiar must be exploitation since you're getting paid to attend.
3. Asking a fellow student for assistance on schoolwork must be exploitation since your degree will contribute to landing a profitable job.
4. Asking a TF2 player for advice must be exploitation since it will help you get better at the game and eventually you might win money in your division. If you don't make it, I guess it wasn't exploitation!

I think you're overreacting to someone kindly asking for help (as in, not demanding or otherwise forcing compliance).
#1 - There are probably training seminars you could pay to attend that would tech you whatever you're trying to learn. Instead of paying, you're browsing the internet. I'm pretty sure someone had to compile the data, and someone developed whatever site you're viewing. Yet, you're not paying either of them. Exploitation!
#2 - Au contraire! I'm pretty sure there is an industry dedicated to getting you from one place to another, whether it be by taxi, bus, or by giving directions (I think there is an industry that makes maps and GPS devices).
#3 - I am also fairly certain that there are professional tutors and tutoring seminars that, you guessed it, cost money. I would venture to call teaching an industry.
#4 - Meh, I doubt there are people paying for mentoring sessions in TF2, so you're right, it's not really an industry.

I suppose you'd be upset if someone wanted to put a new roof on their home, but couldn't afford to pay someone to do it, so they ask their friends [some of whom may have knowledge on roofing] for help?

What if you decided you wanted to move, but instead of hiring a professional moving company, you asked your friends and acquaintances to come over for a few hours and help?

The point isn't the examples themselves--the point is you're becoming offended over something silly. The fact that "someone has that job" is not and should not be synonymous with the idea that you shouldn't be able to get similar results without a monetary cost.
