I only play on MGE servers that allow Heavy on every arena.

I joined the 5 with people and they all allowed spy/pyro/sniper

who that it was a good idea to allow all the other classes? i dont understand how that would appeal to new players or how it helps someone get better at spy or sniper lol just pub.

Whatever happened to that MGE iT server? I remember it shutting down but I kept hearing that it was getting put back up again "soon".

ever since mge it and reddit unofficial went down most people just play with buddies on their own servers. hmu breloom I'll mge any class any time.

if this isn't sarcasm (i can't tell because i'm dumb), pubs are actually a better practice for those classes imo

sniper you don't have to have the stupid second scope battle or whatever, just practice your flicks

pyro reflect everything, spy check, flareshot, etc. your job is usually much less dm-focus and more support-focuesed

spy you literally just see how aggressive you can play in pubs and not die instantly. that's how you get better at that class.

only thing better to practice these things is highlander.

Kevin, I was typing almost literally that exact post out and thought, naw, someone else will say it better. So thank you.

zigzter did bring the server back but it was pretty choppy in the beginning and i think when he fixed it no one really bothered playing on it so he stopped paying for it

also i would love a new public mge server that isnt firepowered. i always enjoyed public mge a little bit.

Please note that the default allowed classes in MGE include Sniper. As such, I don't think you'll get a Soldier/Demo/Scout only server. I wish Sniper was not a default class.

While we're on the topic of MGE servers, I should mention that there aren't any good Chicago servers. Aside from the aforementioned class restriction issues, the few public Chicago servers also tend to be unpopulated. Vatican City actually has damage spread enabled, which is beyond retarded.

People that refuse to change off of sniper, pyro, or spy probably wouldn't be any fun to MGE against even if they were playing on default sixes classes. That being said, I do think it's kinda silly that they allow those classes.

If it's that big of an issue asking someone to play a class you like, try just mge'ing with friends?

the syops oihguv server is objectively the best public mge server

I really thought that Good Gaming Gang's MGE server would really take off and become MGE iT 3.0
