basically i get 100-110 ping to servers in the netherlands, i don't know why. i get 70 to france, germany and about 80 to sweden. anybody know if i can do anything to get better ping to netherlands servers or am i fucked? (pickup servers are in nl)
i have 5 down and 0.5 up if that even matters

Yeah, that's super close to the Netherlands. Are you using wireless or ethernet? How good is your Internet? Could you do a speedtest and screencap the results?

i am wired, i get my internet out of a socket adapter though.

Just as an FYI you probably have interleave on, you might want to contact your ISP about that and have them switch you to a different Latency Path Type called "Fast"

have you tried linking your pc directly to the router? not using the socket i mean.
i've had some of these problems too and this worked for me.

i live upstairs and the router is downstairs in a extremly awkward position so i cant really bring my tower down and hook it up

I have around 85-95 to netherlands (VanilaTV)
and 95-110 to pickup servers (Simrai)
I really dislike the fact they put the servers in netherlands, and used a shitty host to make things worse.

Usually dutch servers are really good but i agree the pickup servers are pretty bad, same as the pickup dm server and not just pingwise

i would really like to play dm again, called provider and they told me to just deal with it. problem still presists.
edit: another thing that is really weird, this just happened out of the blue. i used to get 70-80 ms untill like 4-5 days ago to dm servers
