Hey guys.
I really didn’t want to make a thread like this as I didn’t want to take potential donations away from any teams that might need it but I am in a situation where I may not be able to attend the upcoming ESA LAN in January to cast due to financial problems.
My flights are booked and hotel situation is sorted thanks for ondkaja, but a mixture of having to book now before flight prices went up to almost double and also no overtime being available at my work means I may have to not attend and prioritise my expenditure elsewhere.
If you don’t know who I am and are wondering why some kid is asking for money to attend LAN half way across the world I’m a caster for the EU side of Teamfortresstv, I’ve attended the last three TF2 LAN events (Dreamhack Summer 2016, i58, Dreamhack Winter 2016) of which I’ve always paid out of my own pocket to attend and cast for (with exception of Dreamhack Winter, thanks to essentials.tf and Wolf for paying for me otherwise I wouldn’t have been able to attend that either).
I’m planning on ramping up the streaming over at www.twitch.tv/brenhs including 24 hours streams with activities such as Speed eating 20 chicken nuggets, Pubbing on TF2 match making, playing a single player game of your choice, watching youtube videos for 2 hours and trying not to fall asleep to avoid getting banned off twitch again.
I don’t want anyone to feel obligated to donate as it was my own fault confirming I could attend without working out my funds and seeing if it was feasible so apologies for that.

Any donations over $20 I will cast any game of your choice and upload it, literally any game as long as you don’t abuse it by sending me a 10 hour long game of Civ 6.
With the amount of fundraisers that goes on every LAN I want people to understand that I'm not expecting anything from the community, you guys always fund teams/players/talent every event and its really not fair to expect the community to pick up the slack from my incompetence.

That's a good point, so up until now I've had $250ish donated to me, of which half went on travel and food/drink at dreamhack winter and the other half towards the flight to ESA, I don't know how expensive Cali is but from what I've heard I will need $300 give or take for transport to and from the hotel as well as food and drink over the course of 7 days. I'm currently at college but when I get back home I'll try and find the goal thing and link it here so you guys can see how much has been donated live.

Repeated phrases is probably my biggest weakest in casting I agree with you mate but as I said in the main post nobody should feel like they have to donate to me at all.
If you or anyone else has anymore constructive criticism drop me a message because I do genuinely want to improve as a caster thanks.

I asked who you were because you seemed keen in dwelving into the casting scene based on your post, where you completely came off as a gigantic asshat who instead of offering decent and constructive criticism to bren, you immediately invalidated your second half of your shitpost by pointing out one of his casting quirks and somehow claiming that that alone is good enough to warrant people wanting to contribute to his fundraiser and sending him across the globe
and like saam said in another thread, there is plenty of space available for up and coming casters, so if you feel like you're as hot shit as you think you are, please, by all means show us if yelling genuine reactions when something exciting happens is good enough to win people's trust and their contributions, specially when there's a LAN involved
