After over five and a half years of experience as the Head Admin of the European TF2 League (ETF2L), DCS — also known as Stinson_Out — has announced that he will be stepping down from his admin role and departing from ETF2L staff entirely.
In a post on ETF2L's website, DCS details his personal reasons for leaving his post and reflects on his years as the head admin of ETF2L. In the post, DCS describes how his passion for the game has slowly waned for external and internal reasons. In recent years, DCS has had to cope with a personal injury as well as less and less free time, compounding with the loss of passion for his administrative role.
Beyond his role as head admin of ETF2L, DCS was also a community leader, helping with the organization and administration of multiple European TF2 LAN events, including Copenhagen Games as well as DeutschLAN, the latter of which he was the founder of. To put it in his own words, DCS admired the voluntary work admins put in for competitive TF2, and sought himself to do the same to contribute create something to help the TF2 community grow.
From the European side of teamfortress.tv, we thank you for your years of dedicated time and effort keeping the European side of competitive TF2 alive, and being the driving force behind TF2 in Europe. TF2 would not be the same without you.
