First question, "Should scrims be moderated to the same extent as matches?"
My options are: "Yes", "No, scrims should be moderated to a lighter extent" and "No opinion".
Has no one brought this up? Are there really no people who think "NO, LEAVE ME THE FUCK ALONE"?

Unless RGL wants to buck up and provide servers to use they can go shove it. It has absolutely nothing to do with people being piles of shit and literally everything to do with us already paying them, and them providing absolutely nothing of use. You want control over what people say or want to nanny/monitor them? Provide the infrastructure or piss off.
The fact that this is even being spun the way it is, is absurd to me.

yes i think it is obvious even obvious for most people.....moderate scrims becuz sometimes i lose to noob and i dont want scrim noob 10 times when he says scrim?? if i say no he says lol noob but i dont have excuse but now... i HAVe excuse i can say "you are banned for no reason" or smth like rgl would do what would they do???nothing
that is reason number one now reason number two is:
we need scrim moderators becuz some times peoples cheat in scrims and it is not cool and they should b removed from the matches and disqualiferd becuz why should they allowed to play if they just cheat.....for this we need more moderators and also there need to be chat filter plugin becuz sometimes i disable my chat but then i accidently press y and i see ONE HUNDRED nwords in chat......not cool

Not sure why the options to should scrims be monitored are "yes" and "no only to a lesser extent" and not outright no.
Also there's not enough information about this infraction system but I feel like it will serve the same purpose that they just hunt for random little infractions to nail people they don't like with and then oh look the previous ban gets multiplied
Also can we have a talk about the fact that they are so late with all this? Like went is this not decided before the season starts? And did they even deal with the invite situation with the marmaloo team and how to retroactively add them in?
Seems like everything is super last minute and not well planned out. Like how was the correct version of clearcut that they assigned for the season not even on serveme until the day of my match last week lmao at least get your shit together if you're not gonna provide servers.

Daffodil-Posts like these frustrate me because at best its just users unconsciously assuming RGL admins are obligated to read/post everything on tftv (we use the RGL website only for admin things, not tftv) and at worst its an attempt to rile people up about problems that literally don't exist.
It's not the players that are doing the stirring, I did not make this post with the intention of stirring drama up. Whatever team of admins makes these decisions, causes these problems. No one in their right minds sits there coiling their hands together behind their computer monitor laughing maniacally.
So many harassment reports in RGL are complete bullshit. So many of the players in the competitive community know one another, some of them used to be friends and then turn on each other and develop these weird hate fetishes. This is how most drama goes down. I won't point the finger at the entire staff team for RGL, but whichever group goes about handling this, fucks it up completely.
Outside of RGL, for instance... scrims, inhouse pugs, non RGL servers, non RGL related anything leave the players alooooone.

Daffodil-1.) RGL is more than just the 6s league. Just because the 6s season has started doesn't mean the league and admins freeze other work. Additionally, you are correct to note there is no information provided regarding the system. We have not put in the effort to design something yet because gauging community interest with a poll is the first step.
I also see that you have concerns that RGL admins witch hunt for reasons to ban players they supposedly don't like. Being a 6s admin for RGL is a volunteer position of mostly innocuous grunt work where we schedule matches, place teams into divisions, handle match disputes, and pass along relevant information to people who work on specific areas (production people, graphics designers, anti-cheat, website development, etc.) Most admins in the league do not handle responsibilities regarding bans. Of the ones that do, its likely that they don't care about these supposedly witch hunted players by virtue of not really knowing much about them in the first place.
Additionally, I have many things I would prefer to do when compared to witch hunting tf2 players that are "disliked" by the admin team. Playing the game and handling the responsibilities I have is enough of a time burn anyways. Its unrealistic to think admins actually keep tabs on as many players as people think we do. We have our own jobs, our own teams, our own real lives, and many other things. If I found out that any of my division admins were engaging in that type of witch hunting I would chew them out for wasting time with that rather than handling their unfinished responsibilities in the league. We only act on reports submitted to us. Its honestly tiring to me that people are unwilling to accept this answer. If you want to believe admins "hunt" for reasons to ban players they don't like then I can't change your mind, but hopefully you can at least acknowledge how much time it would waste.
2.) Invite schedules have been updated to reflect developments regarding team deaths and reforms for a while now. I would have assumed you were aware that it had been sorted given that your match against Dorsia was scheduled with a notification, but maybe you just didn't check the website before posting.
3.) RGL is not serveme. We do not own serveme or have some kind of special admin access to their servers. I am confused about why you think a map being missing from a serveme server is a problem with RGL.

If there is no information on this system dont make a poll that forces it to happen no matter what. "Yes" and "Still yes, but a little less" as choices means its happening. Dont be obtuse about it. Along with that admins having other things to do does not absolve them from shit decisions being made. There is literally a thread every 2 weeks about what RGL fucked up this time. Stop burying your head in the sand, you have massive issues.
You are trying to pass this issues off as "people just dont get it", well guess what, people cant get it when there is absolutely zero fucking transparency around what goes on. RGL is a literal black box. Thing goes in and thing comes out, but not a single person understands where any of that comes from or the reasons behind it all.
As for serveme, doesn't RGL literally suggest using them if you dont have a server? If yes, you should probably make sure that the servers you suggest are actually usable. Or you know provide your own shit. It's not like RGL works on a loss.

Tino_Unless RGL wants to buck up and provide servers to use they can go shove it. It has absolutely nothing to do with people being piles of shit and literally everything to do with us already paying them, and them providing absolutely nothing of use.
In season 1 we gave the option to leaders through match comms to be able to get a server from an admin. I was really worried because we only have enough servers to cover about half of the ~100 matches being played each week. I thought we wouldn't have enough. Do you know how many servers were requested each week? Only around 0-5 servers, iirc. It was incredibly low, much lower than I thought we would need.
Given the lack of need/interest in requested servers, we didn't put much thought into expanding that. We also no longer have a sponsorship for the servers, that we previously had.
If the community has a strong interest in having servers which they are forced to play on, rather than being able to use their own servers for matches (like ESEA.) That's something we could aim to do.
One thing to keep in mind is that servers aren't free, so it's also a question of if players want to use money that would go into the prize pool to help cover the cost of these servers because they see value in them. Of course, we'll also be looking into securing sponsorships to help offload or remove any of these costs to the player, which we are already actively pursuing.
So we'll definitely ask this question to players in our sixes survey this season, and aim to have something for Season 4 if the community wants to go down this route.
Tino_It's not like RGL works on a loss.
Historically we've always operated at a loss with me covering any gaps in the budget. 2020 will be the first year where we break even. Not a single cent has been pulled out of RGL ever, to anyone, of profit.
In S3, only about ~1-2% of the league fee actually goes to help cover the costs of keeping the lights on (operation fees (e.g. website cost), business fees, taxes, etc..). The rest goes directly into the prize pool and back to the players.
So an IM fee is 15 dollars. 73 cents goes to PayPal, then about 28 cents goes to help keep RGL's lights on and the remaining ~14 dollars goes to the prize pool. This season we'll also be doing a sliding prize pool.
We'll announce our initial prize pool size and then increase it at the end of the season once we have the final numbers of all money brought in.

Just to chime in a little bit more in response to daf, I'm fairly sure you can manually upload maps to serveme. You may need premium but before a season starts it's a reasonable thing to assume that admins found someone who can upload the version of the map that will be required. Not a big issue though by any means it was just confusing because the version changed a bunch due to adopting new changed versions of the map mid season I think (correct me if I'm wrong though). In my opinion you should keep the map pool set in stone and make sure it's fully accessible before the season starts so it's an even playing field, but there's argument to be made that fixes and such can be adopted on the fly.
The thing about witch hunts was not necessarily that the admins were the ones doing it, the problem is that if it is only done on the basis of user submitted complaints there will be a natural tendency for people to submit complaints against people they don't like and things will end up very biased. The thing of it is that admins need to take every submission with a grain of salt and take into account the underlying motivation behind it. But I think restricting to only matches (or potentially very egregious cases in scrims) will solve the issue as anything in an official match is definitely fair game.
Didn't see the decision until now but makes sense about Dorsia, definitely a more fair way to do things than penalizing one team that started late for no reason and not the other. Feel like it will be chaotic and annoying to make up the missed matches for these teams but hopefully nobody has to play more than 3 matches a week to amount for it.

Serveme's fastdl takes sometimes a while for it to sync, so if it's on the database for serveme then people who use that fastdl may not have that.
You also need premium to add maps, yes.
