even if it doesnt kill you it can have lasting effects after infection because it affects circulation (even if you are young)
Sorry for delayed response, I was banned on main for telling kevin to play chess.
YeeHaweven if it doesnt kill you it can have lasting effects after infection because it affects circulation (even if you are young)
In extreme cases of the illness, intensive care, (which you likely won't get, being young), SARS can cause lung fibrosis (scarring) in 21% cases after 9 months. The case is similar with covid, although figures range from 15 to 30%.Source. The chance of you dying from corona if you are below 44 years old is around 0.1%. I don't have reliable statistics for % of people in intensive care though.
Another interesting fact is that 70% of those who died from corona were overweight, obese or clinically obese. Source.
I would also make a case that if the countries around the world would be better prepared to handle a pandemic, coronavirus wouldn't even do a tenth of the damage it did. In Poland where the government reacted instantly up to this day we have 1,5k deaths, and everything has been open for the past month. But maybe that's just luck. This is an area of speculation.
I'm sorry for expressing my opinion Kevin, I guess.

there's an element of genetic variation to it as well. probably not in poland. but this helps explain disparate impact on asian countries. very interesting

i dont mean lung infections, i'm talking about issues related specifically to circulation - blood clots leading to strokes, kidney damage, cardiovascular issues, encephalitis, extremity damage etc. issues that are not even reported as a symptom of the virus initially but are now being considered as long term post infection issues

Doom1Death rate of corona is literally nearly identical to flu except for age 65+ (2.7% death rate), and massive spike at 85+ for a 10% death rate at the highest. Source CDC. Coronavirus is nearly harmless for a gamer lan.. If you take care of your 85 year old grandparents just don't go.
However there is a vaccine for the flu and it's harder to spread, so corona is still more dangerous.

rand0m.
There's one thing in particular I don't get from you people denying how much of an emergency Covid-19 is: if it really isn't all that bad, why did the whole world stop? Like, why has it never happened before, why only now due to what you describe as just a """flu"""?

BlackOutJonEssentials are already looking into running an online tournament in place of i67 this year.
We are currently awaiting details from Insomnia/Player1 about potential sponsorship of it if at all possible. Stay tuned for more info soon about the setup!
Did anything come of this?
