Everyone's favorite song turned sixes team is back in full force for RGL Season 5 and looking for some Global Domination under their new GlobalClan moniker.

In a break from Invite tradition, the squad is actually keeping almost all their players in this season. They come off of what would've been a top four in Season 4 as WONDERWALL had penalties not given the edge to Witness Gaming. The only change made is swapping sam for vaati. vaati is coming off a bit of a lackluster Season 4, being the Demoman for last season's GlobalClan iteration, he'll be looking to prove again that he can hang at the top of Invite.

We reached out to cap to talk about the roster and the season:

TEAMFORTRESS.TV: Could you elaborate at all on swapping in vaati for this season?

cap: Although we had a lot of fun with sam last season, he said he wanted to take a break from invite for now. As for vaati, we just felt really bad for him. He has no aim, no brain, nothing. Poor guy. However, we believe there is hope for him yet!

TEAMFORTRESS.TV: With keeping mostly the same players, how do you feel the squad will fare against this season's field?

cap: I think most of us having already played together will serve as a good advantage in terms of synergy, playstyles, etc. I believe we’ll turn heads this season from how well we do. #GlobalDomination

TEAMFORTRESS.TV: Anything else you'd like to add?

cap: Shoutout to all my fans. You know who you are!

GlobalClan owner Moixxoi also gave us a comment, saying:

We are happy with the roster we were able to bring under our organization this season. I think it's a squad that has a lot of potential and can make some moves.

I'm glad there are players and squads that are willing to let some of these outside orgs into the scene and try to build up TF2 as an esport. There is a big opportunity for growth, but not if people are getting their hand slapped away every time they reach out, so i'm very appreciative of these guys. Coming from a similar sized esport like Warcraft3, there is nothing worse than making the scene smaller.

Its nice to see there are fans for the scene that cheer players on, I hope we get some people rooting for us this season, and we can put up a lot more Ws than season 4 - at the very least.
