What laws? You consented to install the client and bitcoins have as much legal relevance as monopoly money.

Did you think people wouldn't have to jump through hoops to get results? Why would they just accept a claim at face value?
Personally I think it was silly of them to encourage people to open tickets. This is the type of response everyone is going to get. If I were affected by this I'd just cut my losses and buy a new one.

He can screenshot any mining account with 2 bitcoin in it, when there could have easily been 200 in the account since we don't know how long the miner code was actually in the client. I bet he took home a bit more than 2 if there were over 500 computers running the miner for a week
