I was thinking for a while about getting a mechanical keyboard, but no real idea which one to get, since there’s no way to try each one of them and decide properly. Please help!
Here’s what I’m looking for:
– Brown switches or something similar – no additional clicky sound, but still with the feeling of the click
– With numpad – I’m used to binding various commands to its keys, so maybe no numpad and a bunch of macro keys will do as well? Can you bind TF2 console commands to them?
– It has to be mostly black :D
– I don’t care much about backlights

There is a version of the Filco Majestouch 2 with numpad and brown switches. It's all black and doesn't have backlights.

I bought a Corsair Vengeance K90 keyboard like 2 months ago with my new pc, this thing absolutely rocks... Can't recommend it enough. Sure the price tag is a little steep (100-130$) but it's the best you will get on the market.
http://www.corsair.com/en/gaming-peripherals/gaming-keyboards/vengeance-k90-performance-mmo-mechanical-gaming-keyboard.html
Backlight, cherry mx red switches (these are absolutely incredible), beautiful design, amazing and comfortable wrist rest, volume and playback control keys (seriously I love the volume keys on the keyboard so fkin useful for everything), easy to clean. And 18 macro keys (you could get the k60 with no macro keys and it's a little bit cheaper) but I sometimes play MMOs and other kind of stuff so I figured the macro keys wouldn't hurt.
It was my first mechanical keyboard ever and I couldn't be happier with it, didn't get much use of the macro keys and the backlight yet but it does work great. It was a little bit hard to get used to the cherry mx red switches, after all 10+ years using normal keyboard takes it's toll on habit. But they are so smooth, and easy to work with, and not very clicky.

If you really want an all black alternative you could either go for the newly released k95 (a bit more expensive at $150) but with even bettter features than the k90, or the k70 (no macro keys, probably about 120$).

Get the best keyboard to have ever been produced, period.
It has buckling spring mechanical switches that feel great to type on. They're pretty loud but it's worth it. You'll eventually love the sound, I promise.

Ducky Shine II has everything you want. Backlight can be turned off but it's cool :] it has a reactive setting that lights the keys that you press 8]

I second this.
The Majestouch is a great keyboard without a bunch of useless shit tacked on that just takes up desk space. It's also built like a tank.

I use a Leopold with brown keys and it's great. Simple design but there is a lot of feedback and a better thunk than most other keyboards and it's resilient (I've definitely stupidly dropped it many times and once on a wood floor...still works!) Also comes tenkeyless if you want and no real crazy dumb features either. Every key is individually designed as a part of the keyboard too.
unforunately a lot of the better ones don't come with macro keys, just get a numpad and then bind those. http://tf2wiki.net/wiki/Bindable_keys

I'm using an adesso keyboard. It's pretty solid for me so far. Also, it fits all of your wants out of a keyboard well.
Unless I'm super lazy or something... here's where I got the keyboard from.

It'll suit your needs just fine from my own experience with it.

bumping because i'm trying my hardest to justify not getting a new keyboard just for the sake of getting a new keyboard (found a job so money is looser)

this is $70 with rebate and my friend said it's the most similar to typig with laptop chiclets, which is what i'm used to due to college stuff and "lol this is useful for notes lol"
any ideas/etc? i'm probably gonna end up dropping the money anyway because i'm a shitty person

All keyboards that use a particular mx cherry switch will "feel" exactly the same.

Not true. The materials used in the board, the type of back-plate (or lack of back-plate), the stabilizers, the key caps, and other things will create a significant and very noticeable difference.
If you want a full-size keyboard with MX browns, go with Leopold or Filco. If you're in Europe, you should probably go with Filco, given that your Leopolds won't be as highly QCed as ours (I think?).
