My cfg folder contains class files, graphics settings files, other handy files I can do exec with in game, but the most important for me are the class files, (engineer.cfg, heavyweapons.cfg,etc...) I have deleted the files and made entirely new files, I have moved these files to custom, nothing works. The same goes for my autoexec file, if anyone has a fix for this annoying issue I would greatly appreciate it.

you don't put them in your custom folder you put them in your cfg folder
you don't put them in your custom folder you put them in your cfg folder
You either put config files in:
tf/cfg/autoexec.cfg
or
tf/custom/myconfigsfolder/cfg/heavyweapons.cfg
the 'myconfigsfolder' is a name you can come up with yourself that still make sense and contains a 'cfg' folder in which you put your config files.
Note that a config file in /tf/cfg with the same name will overrule any file with the same name in your the custom folder structure.

When i said I put them in my custom folder I was meaning for the alternative route that some people told me to try, as of now they are in my cfg folder and nothing is working still, but for now I am going to try the custom folder route that was mentioned above, thanks for the help.
