How do i disable transparent viewmodel?

I recently got a Toonhud hud called MrPaladin's Theme, and it has transparent viewmodel on. When i try to play there's a white screen because of it.

need to use dx9. dx8 doesn't support it as phloglover said

go to hudlayout.res
find the section with the transparency thing
turn visible 1 and enabled 1 to visible 0 and enabled 0

Thanks for the help! Although it was confusing for me to find hudlayout.res without a directory.
