So I am not some great map editor, but had a good idea after watching sean's charity stream play throwback tf2 on hydro.
How hard would it be to turn tc_hydro into a dom map.
Looking over it I don't feel like it would need that much modifications, maybe to the spawn rooms and then mechanics of the gates opening and blocking off certain parts after each map. I sorta imagine it would be like dom_canalzone but hopefully better.
Any input would be nice.

5cp is the only option not dom, dom is the crappiest game mode ever

In case anybody is wondering why dom is shit, the mode encourages running away from fights so you can instead rotate around the entire map taking undefended points. It's the worst possible game mode in pretty much every format of comp tf2.

might as well put dustbowl back in the map rotation if you're considering hydro

hydro is a place we don't talk about

It was really fun but I don't think it could ever be a serious map sadly =<

I think the idea on the surface seems nice, but the problem is both gamemodes are pretty flawed on the surface to begin with.
TC you have no control over which points are contested.
Domi as Royce said, you're basically doing a Texas Two-step around each other.
Another factor to consider is tc_hydro is non-symmetrical, which severely limits it's comp potential to begin with.
So TBH I don't see anything happening with Hyrdo itself.
