I recently started working from home and the process of swapping over my mouse, keyboard, headphones and mic every day is becoming painful. I want a switch that will support all of those peripherals (monitors aren't important, I'm happy to just swap those by hitting the button) but I'm concerned about two things:
- Latency with my mouse.
- N-key rollover.
Is anyone using a setup like this? What are you using? Have you noticed any delay/ problems with your mouse when playing?
Thanks!
2024 edit: I'm back full remote years later and figured I'd post my solution in case anyone is like searching for this. I ended up getting this: https://www.store.level1techs.com/products/p/14-kvm-switch-dual-monitor-2computer-z5erd-n6mbj which works with my 240hz 1080p display as well

since i'm a corporate rat, i have to use private and work pc and somehow i have to switch over between them and the best solution i've found is the USB KVM:

after all it looks like this:

one click and your perhiperals are switched over to another pc
it works like hub, so i don't think it creates a latency big enough to let you feel it, just don't connect things eating a lot of current like 3,5" hard drives without active current like from external USB charger (this KVM supports it)
i switch over my screens between pc's manually because there is no KVM for 144hz screens and i don't want to switch it to 60hz
if you're okay with 60hz, there are plenty of options on amazon or aliexpress as this type of hardware is commonly used in server rooms
about n-key rollover - as you're connecting a keyboard to a hub, it's more like a task for a keyboard to support it and there is no problem with it, my keyboard has it and didn't feel any problem while switching
ps: my room gets a lot of dust very quickly, i know about it

Have you messed with running a usb mic through this? For now I can RDP into my work laptop but one of these days either IT or security is going to figure it out and I'm gonna need to come up with a new solution haha

works flawless but you have to keep in mind that your apps may not change the microphone in the settings automatically, so make sure the voice chat apps are disabled when switching between pcs
