Noticed recently that my FOV automatically changes from server to server. Didn't change anything locally just connected to both servers. Is there some new setting introduced in the last few years?

the only thing i could think of was changing the aspect ratio for a different FOV, but that clearly isn't the case here. does it have anything to do with your config/potential FOV-altering mods?

I think some servers run a fix to prevent ultrawide resolutions from giving increased FOV (rephrased)

this makes sense, actually. 3440x1440 will give a great FOV "boost"

sv_restrict_aspect_ratio_fov 0
I know that it's set to 0 on ETF2L configs, don't know what it's like for RGL.

I checked and apparently rgl uses sv_restrict_aspect_ratio_fov "2" which limits effective fov for full screen and windowed mode to a 1.85:1 aspect ratio. For reference 16:9 roughly 1.778:1.
