I'm able to get into the menu and join a server, sometimes it will crash after being in the server for only a few minutes and sometimes after a half an hour. This has only been happening after the most recent update (valve keeps breaking the game) please help, not sure what is causing the crashes.

Specs
windows 7 64bit
asus z77
i5 3570k 3.4ghz
gtx 550 Ti
G.Skill 8gb ddr3
western digital 500gb

I fixed it by doing something in another thread; adding -dxlevel 91 to config

i would also check your pc health because it's far from being new (your cpu was released in 2012) and since you probably play on a hdd that can also lead to performance issues
check disk health, check ram health, the best steps to start
