Having rum. Don't have enough to get hammered, but kanpai.
There's a certain reality and comfort to be had with this thread. If you had tea along with this thread, it's almost like you were having tea with shami yourself.
But shami turned on the people, so the people turned on shami; there became a drought of posts focused on tea, instead focused on now food. By the subject defined by the thread's topic, shami derailed their own thread, and understandably, most of shami's devoted audience revolted at this change. While it was the same glimpse of reality we had grown used to, it was now one filled with more unhealthy eating habits. The thread was forever scarred by this change.

Others attempted to capitalize on known successes to try and recapture what made the original topic magical.

But one thing one should ask themselves is "Did shami ever really stop having tea?". For 3 months shami posted about having tea, but all of a sudden, the topic shifted. Shami chose to focus on another aspect of their life and let us into that instead of teaposting. But there's nothing to say that shami actually stopped having tea; rituals like having tea or coffee in the morning tend to not be easy habits to kick without good reason. I hypothesize that shami never really stopped having tea.
But even if this hypothesis is true, it doesn't change what a majority of shami's audience now thinks about shami.
J_4rb1go back to drinking tea
For many, all they wanted was tea. Anything else is a bastardization of shami's persona that we fell in love with all those months ago. "Shami would never drink vodka and animepost. That's not the shami I know..."
The undeniable truth is that we only know what shami wanted us to know. What shami presents here is a persona; a very limited view of their true character. One that still has its ups and downs but is still what they want us to see. I have never met shami and possibly I never will.
But in a very tumultuous world, shami's regularity still provides a solid foundation to latch onto when things get rough. Whatever's happening, I know that shami is out there, consuming some sort of beverage or food. Even if it's not tea. And I think that's enough.
shami, I support what you're doing here, and I hope you're doing well.
