Demo smoothing not saving

Any have any suggestions on how to fix this?
When you smooth a demo you should get demoname_smooth as a new version. I get nothing... No errors in console, nothing at all.
Trying to smooth some demos for a frag movie.

Thank you. Turns out you cant use demoui and have to type playdemo filename for it to work...
