Holy shit, I've never been to a LAN before since there's exactly none that happen in the southeast US. Hopping on this LAN train a little closer to summer.

Intel looks at the ACTUAL numbers of people paid and seated. They DO NOT care about people who are just signed up and not paid. It does not count your ticket out of the 160 until you pay :)

From our meeting last night:

- We will be having WAY more giveaways throughout the LAN. Along with more small events and competitions. More Intel giveaways other than at the raffle. We want people to have the chance to win Intel prizes by participating in the events we have planned, and not just the raffle. We are changing alot of things for the better. New seating layout which will be better for the flow and give everyone more space! - We will have TF2 servers running with configs and such. Brackets and we can run 6s and highlander.

- We a ton of posters at GAtech, GA state, Polytech. Also put up posters at Battle and Brew and gamestores/comic book shops!

- We will be putting up reddit adds starting soon for each game and running them until the time of the event. We are putting in our own cash OTHER than the Intel LAN fund to help with advertising. In the past we have been happy with 120-130 out of the 160 max, but not this year. Out goal is to sell out. WE WILL SELL OUT! Help us reach that goal guys!

I know some of you are reading this that are planning on going.. JUST SIGN UP. The better numbers sooner look better to other people who have never attended before.

I'm planning on going (put in the time off request at work), and I'd love to play TF2 there. Only issue is that I might need a ride. I'll pay soon as I have a ride squared away.

Also, I realize how much a noob I sound like for saying this, but is this broken up by skill, or are we just randomly divided into teams? I'm kind of new to the whole LAN thing.

Is there a specific day and time we'll be doing the 6s/Highlander tourneys? Only way I can get a ride is if I have specific dates and times.

Also, if its possible, I'd like to play in both the 6s and the Highlander.

Saturday at 1030AM is when we usually start the TF2 tourny. Ends around dinner time maybe. Idk if we playing highlander too. You can play any game/tourny ya want dood.

I haven't been to this lan before but from what it sounds like the tf2 tournament is pretty informal, teams are usually formed the day of so don't think its some professional thing that actual teams are practicing for or anything. It's more just for fun, so if you like playing tf2 you should play.

You cant rent computers at the event. We will get the TF2 tourny going on Saturday morning around 11am.

You can come to watch. But you bring your computer and play as well!

Also we should have enough for 3-4 teams. Ive been talking to alot of people myself who say they are coming for TF2 so get signed up and payed!
