new to comp in general. mic is broke sadly, i just need help from the bottom up. i can accept criticism. i meant to put LF instead of LA in the title, silly typo.
you can plug some earbuds or something into your mic jack and speak into the left speaker if you're in desperate need of a mic =)
marmadukeGRYLLSneed a mic to play 6's.
i just need a mentor for 6s, i'm not planning on doing them any time soon.

So you need a mentor to teach you how to play 6v6 even though you don't want/can't play 6v6 anytime soon.
I suggest you check out some VoDs of high level matches and try to figure out stuff yourself or you download demos of high level players and watch those.
You can find demos on ESEA/ETF2L and vods of high level matches on the youtube channels of teamfortresstv and vanillatv.

obviously no one is twisting your arm to start playing right away, but this is pretty pointless because you'd just be wasting the mentors time and possibly yours

It's a foolproof plan, get a mentor to teach you comp tf2 now, then in 5 years return to play only when you've forgotten everything you've learned about the game
