My pc is being repaired atm, so I'm playing on a laptop. went from 30-50fps after installing more's config. (For some reason Chris maxframes isn't as good for me as m0res) I was just wondering if you guys know of any other configs that really make the game look like shit but boosts fps and also works with sv_pure 2.
If there is any way to make your resolution lower than just using the ingame options, that would be cool too.
Use -dxlevel 81 in launch options and set your resolution in launch options for additional fps gain. If you want to split hairs and try to get as much fps as possible without just using a better rig you can try:
-fps config (of course, and you said you have one)
-fullscreen
-shit resolution (i use 800x600)
-disable mumble overlay and steam community in-game
-make sure no background programs are running while you're playing tf2

What type of laptop? Does it have a newer or older cpu? If it isn't too much of an old cpu and is also intel.

Throttle stop will stop cpu idling and basically act like an overclock for your laptop. It will also have the cpus perform at max settings disregarding interrupts focusing more on the process at hand games ect....
Just make sure you don't set your laptop to "boost" all the time, just set it to the max cpu multiplier your cpu can handle aka it's max frequency not boosted with intel boost.

I don't believe it does work with AMD sadly, there might be a custom version out somewhere made for those cpu's. To my knowledge only intel available atm
